I Corinthians 3:11 “The foundation that has already been laid is Jesus Christ, and no one can lay down any other foundation” (New Century Version).
Matthew 7:26-27 “Everyone who hears my words and does not obey them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. It rained hard, the floods came, and the winds blew and hit that house, and it fell with a big crash” (NCV). Notice this, the shaking time hit that house and the house fell. Why is that? The foundation of the house that fell and crashed was not built on the Word of God which is Jesus Christ Himself.
So the question is: Who will go through the storms and come through in triumph or victory? The answer: those who will put their faith in Christ, build upon His firm foundation, rely completely on His Word and live by His Word. It is very important to have a living, direct, personal relationship with Jesus Christ Himself. Our foundation which is our Rock in Jesus Christ must be strong. All other ground is sinking sand.
