God Cares

"Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust
also in Him; and He shall bring it
to pass." Psalms 37:5

What is commit our way to the Lord?
Give yourself over to the Lord; hand
it and give your way over to the Lord.

Is that enough? No, trust also in Him
and He shall take care of you. It is a
reminder to continue to commit and
trust in the Lord.

NCV says "Depend on the Lord; trust
Him, and He will take care of you."

Sometimes it feels like, it takes the
whole system out of you, turn upside
down and screaming at God, "Why don't
You answer our prayer? Where are you
when we need you?"

The Bible answers: Psalm 37:7
"Be still before the Lord and wait
patiently for Him; do not fret
(worry). . . " NIV

Song: God Will Take Care of You

"Be not dismayed whatever betide (happen),
God will take care of you.
Beneath His wings of love abide,
God will take care of you.
Chorus:
God... will take care of you,
Thru every day, O'er all the way;
He... will take care of you,
God will take care of you.
(Civilla Durfee Martin)

Let God takes care of you!

Belong to Jesus

"... God, who hath reconciled us to himself
by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the
ministry of reconciliation." II Cor. 5:18

Reconciliation: the message is a world of
people can be brought back to God. It means
for us to change from being enemies with God
to being friends with God; to bring us and
God together. (Thank you Tony)

Somehow the Holy Spirit brought this chorus,
"Now I belong to Jesus" and it is like a new
relationship with Jesus. It is like God wants
us to be more close to Him and a sense of
belonging to Him forever.

Chorus: Now I Belong to Jesus
Now I belong to Jesus. Jesus belongs to me,
Not for the years of time alone, But for eternity.

1. Jesus my Lord will love me forever;
From Him no pow’er of evil can sever;
He gave His life to ransom my soul.
Now I belong to Him. (Chorus)

2. Once I was lost in sin’s degradation;
Jesus came down to bring me salvation,
Lifted me up from sorrow and shame,
Now I belong to Him. (Chorus)

3. Joy floods my soul for Jesus has saved me,
Freed me from sin that long had enslaved me;
His precious blood He gave to redeem.
Now I belong to Him. (Chorus)
(Norman John Clayton)

Now you belong to Him!

Victory Song

"And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to
seek the Lord ... and cry unto thee (God)..."
The Lord God answered: "Be not afraid nor
dismayed by the reason of this great multitude;
for the battle is not yours, but God's."
2 Chronicles 20:3a,9c,15b

The famous story from 2Chron. 20:1-30 tells us
that God had instructed them on how to plan a
defeat against their enemies. The king Jehoshaphat
encouraged them and said, "Believe in the Lord your
God ..." (v20). They set up singers and "they began
to sing and to praise."

What did the Lord do after they sang and praise?
"The Lord set ambushments against 'enemies' "(v22-24).
"... the Lord made them to rejoice over their enemies"(v27).

Paula Hardy of Canada sent me this copy of her favorite song,
"Victory" last May 17th. This morning at 3 a.m. Holy Spirit
'sang' this 'Victory' song. It reminds me of a famous story
of Jehoshaphat victory over his enemies. So the Holy Spirit
is encouraging us to enter the praise song to silent our
enemies. Thank you, Paula for the 'Victory Song.'

1. Hallelujah, what a thought! Jesus full
salvation brought, Victory,... victory ...
Let the pow’rs of sin assail, Heaven’s grace
can never fail, Victory,... victory ...
Chorus: Victory, yes, victory. Hallelujah!
I am free, Jesus gives me victory. Glory,
glory, hallelujah! He is all in all to me.

2. I am trusting in the Lord, I am standing
on His Word, Victory,... victory ...
I have peace and joy within, Since my life is
free from sin, Victory,... victory ... (Chorus)
3. Shout your freedom ev’rywhere, His eternal
peace declare, Victory,... victory ...
Let us sing it here below, In the face of
ev’ry foe, Victory,... victory ... (Chorus)
4. We will sing it on that shore, When this
fleeting life is o’er, Victory,... victory ...
Sing it here, ye ransomed throng, Start the
everlasting song, Victory,... victory ...(Chorus)
(B. E. Warren)

So let's trust God today!

Come to Jesus

“Come to me, all of you who are tired and have
heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Accept
my teachings and learn from me, because I am
gentle and humble in spirit, and you will find
rest for your lives. The teaching that I ask you
to accept is easy; the load I give you to carry
is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 ncv

AMP: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-
laden and over burdened, and I will cause you to
rest. I will ease and relieve and refresh your
souls. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me;
for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart,
and you will find rest—relief, ease and refreshment
and recreation and blessed quiet—for your souls. For
My yoke is wholesome (useful, good) not harsh, hard,
sharp or pressing, but comfortable, gracious and
pleasant; and My burden is light and easy to be borne.”

Song: Come unto Me
1. Hear the blessed Savior calling the oppressed,
“O ye heavy laden, come to Me and rest;
Come, no longer tarry, I your load will bear;
Bring Me every burden, bring Me every care.”
Chorus: Come unto Me; I will give you rest;
Take my yoke upon you, Hear Me and be blest;
I am meek and lowly, Come and trust My might;
Come, My yoke is easy, And My burden’s light.
(Charles P. Jones)

It is good to be reminded that we can still
come to Jesus for a deep rest. It feels so
good to be in His arms and receive healing.

So let's trust Jesus today!

Grace & Strength

KJV: “My grace is sufficient for thee: for
my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
NCV: “My grace is enough for you. When you
are weak, my power is made perfect in you.”
2 Corinthians 12:9a

What is grace? Grace is God's presence, favor,
and power. It is a force, a heavenly strength
given to you who call upon God. This grace will
come down upon you, the faithful believer who
accepts the weaknesses and difficulties for the
gospel's sake. When our weakness and trials for
Christ is too great to bear, God will give us
more grace to do what He wants us to do. What
He gives is always enough for us to live our
daily lives, to work for Him, and to endure
our suffering. When we come near to Christ,
Christ will give His heavenly strength and
comfort on us.

Like Paul, when we say, our weakness bring
glory to God and the power of Christ will
come upon us and live within us as we look
forward to our heavenly home.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for
strength and healing for our weak bodies
and that we will glorify You because of
Your love for us. Thank You for Your presence,
Your favor and Your power upon us in Jesus'
name I pray, amen.

Song: At Calvary
Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty,
At Cal – va – ry ....

At the Cross

Hebrew 12:2 ncv “Let us look unto Jesus,
the One who began our faith and who makes
it perfect…” Bread Box 5/21/10

Do you ever felt like a slow spiritual down hill?
We wonder ‘where is God’s miracle in all this’?
Is there an answer? KJV quote: “Looking unto
Jesus the author and finisher of our faith …”

This verse encourages us to keep trusting Jesus,
“who for the joy that was set before Him endured
the cross, despising the shame…” Paul encouraged
us to “lay aside every weight … and let us run
with patience…” (Heb. 12:1a).

Let us put aside our “downhill feelings” and take
it to the cross. Let's ask the Holy Spirit to help
us run with patience. Let Him finish the work in
you. Remember Jesus endured the cross for you.

Song: At the Cross
At the cross, at the cross where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart rolled away,
It was there by faith I received my sight,
And now I am happy all the day!
(Isaac Watts; Ralph E. Hudson, chorus)

So trust God today!

Room at the Cross

"Christ did all this with His death on the
cross. . . . Christ came and preached
peace to you . . ." Ephesians 2:16b,17a

The song came to me Wednesday morning when
Tony and I were riding in the car with Bill
Persall who was driving us to the airport
in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Song: Room at the Cross
There's room at the cross for you,
There's room at the cross for you.
Tho' millions have come,
there's still room for one; Yes,
there's room at the cross for you.
(Ira Forest Stanphill)

When we arrive at Canada airport, there was
a custom paper work and check-up line that
took time. We arrived at the gate just five
minutes left before boarding the plane. So
we bought fruits glass and a coffee. Just
before we were to enter the door of the
small plane, I noticed a front of the Delta
plane looks pretty worn. I told the Lord
that plane looks worn out. I felt concern
and prayed for protection for all of us.

The pilots drove the plane, getting ready
to take off, but the pilot announced that
there were brakes problem. The pilots had
to turn the plane back and we all got off
this plane. We waited for another safer
plane. It was two hours delayed. We all
were at peace. We got home safe.

Still trusting the Lord!

The Eastern Gate

Bread Box for 5/19/10 (My blackberry pager)
We'll fly home early Wednesday morning
so I want to send this out on May 18th.

Bill Persall is the Deaf Pastor of Edmonton
Deaf Church Fellowship in Canada. This is
truly an inspiration. Thank you Bill!

The walled city of Jerusalem used to have
12 gates according to the book of Nehemiah.
Today, Jerusalem has 7 gates that are open
to the public. One is closed. That is the
Eastern Gate or the Golden Gate as it is
sometimes called. It has been closed since
810 A.D. The 7 gates are New Gate, Damascus
Gate, Herod’s Gate, Lion’s Gate, Dung Gate,
Zion Gate and Jaffa Gate.

Last year, I entered three gates: Dung Gate,
Zion Gate and Jaffa Gate. The future New
Jerusalem will have 12 gates according to
the book of Revelation.

Dorothy
PS. I found a chorus to fit this
song, "The Eastern Gate."
"I will meet you,..
I will meet you,..
Just inside the Eastern
Gate over there;..
I will meet you,..
I will meet you,..
I will meet you in the
morning over there ..."
(I. G. Martin, Sing His Praise)

See the King

Good morning from Edmonton, Canada!

On May 16th, I met Pastor Joyce Supersad of
Cornerstone Community Church of Edmonton and
I ask for permission to buy an old song book.
Her face was so tender and she said to me that
I could have it. Oh, that was sweet. So now I
will cherish the "Melodies of Praise" song book.

On May 17th, Tony and I were in the condo's dining
room, comparing two song books. I had a sudden urge
to pray and suddenly I sang, "We Shall See the King."

We shall see the King, We shall see the King,
We shall see the King when He comes;
He is coming in power, we'll hail the blessed hour,
We shall see the King when He comes.
(J.B. Vaughn; Melodies of Praise 1957)

Zechariah prophecied, "Behold, thy King cometh
unto thee: he is just, and ... lowly, and riding
... upon a colt ..." (Zechariah 9:9).

Matthew 21:1-11 tells that Jesus asked for a
colt and He rode into Jerusalem. The prophecy
was fulfilled, "Behold, thy King cometh unto
thee, meek, and sitting.. upon a colt" (Matt.21:5).

The city of Jerusalem have 12 gates. One of
them is called the Eastern Gate and it is
closed. Some day the Eastern Gate will be
opened again and we shall see the King walking
through the Eastern Gate. He is coming again.

Do come Lord Jesus!

Walking with the King

Good morning to you from Edmonton,
Canada! Weather is nice here! Day
are longer. Bread Box 5/17/10

Guess what? At Canada, Edmonton Deaf Church
Fellowship, the chapel had a very old song
book called, "Melodies of Praise." I found
one of my many favorite songs. This was a
popular song during 1960's in California
where I grew up.

Song: Walking With the King
Hal-le-lu-jah, I'm walking with the King,
Praise His holy name, Walking with the King,
hal-le-lu-jah, I'm walking with the King
Every day I'm walking with the King!
(Author unknown)
(Melodies of Praise, 1957
Gospel Publishing House)

Lev. 26:12 kjv "And I (God) will walk
among you, and will be your God, and
ye (you) shall be my people.

Rev. 22:4 "And they shall see His face..."

It is hard to imagine this because we have
lived by faith without seeing Him personally.
But we often felt His Spirit so real even to
the touch of our hearts. So it is going to be
a great rejoicing time when we say, "Finally,
I see you God." And how do you think God is
going to feel? Whoa! I can't even imagine it.
The song "Walking with the King" is our future
hope. So let's trust God today!

Mediation is Sweet!

"My mediation of Him shall
be sweet: I will be glad in
the Lord". Psalms 104:34 kjv

Yesterday I was taking a nap and all
of sudden, memory of old song, 'Twas
A Glad Day' rang in my inner spirit.
I tried to remember some of the words
and sang along but I couldn't get it
all. So I got up and found it in a
song book, and I sign them to Tony.
Tony was in awe when I told him that
this song I remember when I was young
and I was in a hearing church. It
was really a joyous time when people
sang this song. Their inner spirits
rose up together and God's Spirit
became real among us.

Song:'Twas a Glad Day When Jesus Found Me

(Chorus only) (Note: 'Twas means "It was.")
'Twas a glad day when Jesus found me,
When His strong arms were thrown around me,
When my sins He buried in the deepest sea,
And my soul He filled with joy and victory.
'Twas a glad day, O hal-le-lu-jah!
'Twas a glad day He claimed His own;
I will shout a glad hosanna in glory
When I see Him upon His throne.
(Albert Simpson Reitz)

Oh wow! Trust the Lord today!
He loves you!

To God Be the Glory

"He delivered me from my strong
enemy . . ." Psalm 18:17a

Remember, singing any song silence our
enemy so God does delivered us from many
ways. I am so blessed to have Holy Spirit
who has brought me so many songs to share
with you because God knew that the enemy
tried to destroy me and you. I praise Him!
So let us sing unto the Lord!

Song: To God Be the Glory
1. To God be the glory, Great things He
hath done, So loved He the world that He
gave us His Son, Who yielded His life an
atonement for sin, And opened the Lifegate
that all may go in.
Chorus:
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice! O come to
the Father thro' Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory, great
things He hath done!

3. Great things He hath taught us,
great things He hath done, And great
our rejoicing thro' Jesus the Son;
But purer and higher and greater
will be Our wonder, our transport,
when Jesus we see. (Fanny Crosby)

Happy Day!

"Good people, rejoice and be happy in
the Lord. Sing all you whose hearts
are right." Psalms 32:11 ncv

In our old days many of the Deaf would
sing this song, "Happy Day." Surprised,
there's a story behind that song and I
want to share it. My summary from World's
Greatest Hymn Stories, Robert J. Morgan.
(You could log in www.nelsonreference.com)

Monica Doddridge had 20 children, but 18
babies died. Phillip was born 1702 and he
was the 20th child. Monica, his mother
trained Philip to know the Bible. Later
on his mother died and he became an orphan.
He was poor, lack of good food, etc. With
help he went to be educated and became a
minister. His health was frail, but he
went on to do important work and he died
at the age of 48.

Interesting thing about Phillip, he wrote
a song, "Happy Day." He also wrote 400 hymns.
For 22 years, he trained students at Northampton
Academy in England and his life radiated to many
with his sermons and his powerful prayer life
in spite of his frail health. (Frail mean
very thin, and not very strong, weak)

Song: O Happy Day, That Fixed My Choice
Happy day, happy day, When Jesus washed
my sins away! He taught me how to watch
and pray, And live rejoicing every day,
Happy day, happy day, When Jesus washed
my sins away! (Phillip Doddridge)

What does this mean to me? Philip's story
made me realized why he wrote "Happy Day."
It is not because of his poor health. It
is because Jesus washed our sins away. If
you have problems, this story could inspire
you to love God more and to pray often.

So let's trust God today!

Praise the Lord!

"You (God) have children and babies
to sing praises to you (God) because
of your (God's) enemies. And so you
(God) silence your enemy ..."
Psalm 8:2 NCV

Chorus: Praise the Lord
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father thru Jesus
the Son, And give Him the glory,
great things He hath done!
(Fanny Jane Crosby, the blind lady)

The songs of praise and victory enable
you to silence your enemy. Also remember
the O.T. stories of Israelite who used
songs and marched toward their enemies
who were already defeated. Praise and
worship songs unto the Lord will bring
His presence and helps you bind satanic
powers from your situation.

No wonder our Holy Spirit brings many
songs so often because He knew the
enemy tried to destroy us. So let's
sing unto the Lord and silence our
enemy!

Rejoice!

For two days, my inner spirit "heard" the song,
"Rejoice, the Lord is King!" The technology Bible
under "rejoice" was awesome!

Psalm 63:7 "Because thou (God) hast
been my help ... will I rejoice."
Psalm 70:4 "Let all those that seek
thee rejoice ..."
Psalm 89:16 "In thy name shall they
rejoice all the day ..."
Psalm 96:12 "Let the field be joyful,
... all the trees of wood rejoice."
Psalm 97:1 "The Lord reigns; let the
earth rejoice ..."
Psalm 97:12 "Rejoice in the Lord, ye
righteous; give thanks ..."
Psalm 105:3 "... let the heart of them
rejoice that seek the Lord."

Song: Rejoice, the Lord is King!
Rejoice, the Lord is King:
Your Lord and King adore!
Rejoice, give thanks and sing,
And triumph evermore:
Lift up your heart,
Lift up your voice (hand)!
Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!
(Charles Wesley, Sing His Praises)

I believe the Lord has a reason for us to
rejoice in the Lord. When we are sad, anxious
or worried, the Lord encourages our inner
spirits to rejoice and be thankful. It
usually brings healing and uplifting. So
let's trust the Lord today!

Song: Rejoice, the Lord is King!

1.Rejoice, the Lord is King:
Your Lord and King adore!
Rejoice, give thanks and sing,
And triumph evermore:
Lift up your heart,
Lift up your voice (hand)!ong:
Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!

2. Jesus, the Savior reigns,
The God of truth and love;
When He has purged our stains,
He took His seat above.
Lift up your heart,
Lift up your voice (hand)!
Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!

4. Rejoice, in glorious hope!
Our Lord the Judge shall come
And take His servants up
To their eternal home!
Lift up your heart,
Lift up your voice (hand)!
Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!
(Charles Wesley, Sing His Praises)

In the Twinkling of an Eye

"In a moment, in the twinkling of an
eye, ... we shall be changed."
I Cor. 15:52a,c

How quickly will we be changed to a
glorious body? NCV: "it will take
only a second--as quickly as an eye
blinks--when the last trumpet will
sound, and those who have died will
be raised to live forever, and we
will all be changed."

Good reading: 1 Cor. 15:1-58. Key:
"Christ was raised to life and was
taken to heaven. We, too will be
changed to glorious body and be
taken to heaven."

In the old days, I remember this song,
"In the Twinkling of an Eye." It was
very popular back then and the people
kept their hope in the coming of Christ.
Often this song affect our bodies to
sense the healing in some ways that
I can't explain. You will know if and
when you really sing this song.

Chorus: "In the Twinkling of an Eye"

Changed in the twinkling of an eye, ---
Changed in the twinkling of an eye;---
The trumphet shall sound, the dead
shall be raised, -- Changed in the
twinkling of an eye. ---
(Fanny Crosby)

So trust God today!

From Glory to Glory

"We all show the Lord's glory, and
we are being changed to be like Him.
This changes in us ever greater glory,
which comes from the Lord ..."
2 Cor. 3:18b (ncv)

Do you ever get tired of living in
your present body? Paul did! He said
in Phil. 3:20-21a "... We look for
the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Who shall change our vile (bad) body,
that it may be fashioned like unto
His glorious body."

Right now, God's glory is inside of us
through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We shine inside while we are on earth.
But when Jesus comes, our bodies will be
changed into glorious body, that is the
greater glory.

From the present glory in our body to
the future new heavenly glorious body
which is far better. And we will never
be sick again. This is faith believing
we will have a future glorious body.

Song: From Glory to Glory
From glory to glory He's changing me,
changing me, changing me.
His likeness and image to perfect in me;
the love of God shown to the world.--
For He's changing, changing me,
from earthly things to the heavenly,
His likeness and image to perfect in me.
The love of God shown to the world. --
(2 Cor. 3:18, Unknown author)

May the Lord glorify you today!

Wonderful Savior

Good morning. The chorus came to me
this morning, "Wonderful Savior" so
I search the scriptures to fit the
song. It was a worship time. Thank
you Holy Spirit for guidance!

Isaiah 9:6c "His name shall be
called Wonderful ..."

Isaiah 49:26c "... I the Lord am
thy Savior ..."

John 4:42c "... (we) know that
this is indeed the Christ, the
Savior of the world."

Chorus: Wonderful Savior

Wonderful Savior, wonderful savior,
Thou art so near, so precious to me;
Wonderful Savior, wonderful Savior,
My heart is filled with praises to Thee.

1. Jesus my King, my wonderful Savior,
All of my life is given to Thee;
I am rejoicing in Thy salvation,
Thy precious blood now maketh me free.
(Then Chorus) (J.M. Harris)

Luke 1:47 "And my spirit hath rejoiced
in God my Savior."

The Lord bless you today!

Healeth Thee

"... I am the Lord that healeth thee
(you)." Exodus 15:26 Bread Box 5/3/10

I woke up with my lower severe back
pain. This verse and a song came to
me so I quote them. I went back to
bed and repeat them until I felt
asleep for a short time. When I
woke up, I was okay.

This is a song that I use it often.
They helped me a lot so I hope sharing
this with you might be helpful, too.

Song: "I Am the God That Healeth Thee."

1. I am the God that healeth thee,
I am the Lord your Healer,
I sent My word and healed your disease,
I am the Lord, your Healer.

2. You are the God that healeth me,
You are the Lord my Healer.
You sent Your word and healed my disease,
You are the Lord, my healer.
(Don Moen, Sing His Praise)
