Matthew 25:23b “Thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things.”
Have you ever done little things that you think don’t seem to mean anything even to God? Jesus has something to say about that. “... Because you were loyal with small things, I will let you care for much greater things” (Matt. 25:23 nvc).
Is it hard to imagine what exactly will Jesus put us in charge of? (NIV: I will put you in charge of many things). But first, Jesus has to know if He can trust you with little things on the earth. If you do well with little things, then Jesus can trust you to do well with big things in His future Kingdom.
Prayer:
Dear Jesus, You have given us jobs to do on earth. Help us to do well so that You could trust us to do the work for You in the future Kingdom of God. Help us not to have an attitude about the little things that mean nothing, when it actually means something to You. Help us to realize that You do care about little things. Help us to be faithful to Your calling us to do little work for You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
So trust God today for little things!
