Psalm 148:14 NIV
“He has raised up for his people a horn (strong one, that is, king), the praise of all His saints, of Israel, the people close to His heart. Praise the Lord.”
In KJV Psalm 148:14, the part of a sentence quoted: “a people near unto Him.” When we read this part of words, ‘near unto Him,’ the question is, how much near are we unto Him?
Have you ever watch a TV commercial on “a mother holding a baby and looking so very tenderly and lovely and how the baby’s wide-eye gazing or looking steadily in wonder at the mother’s face? This precious moment, a baby in the arms of mother so close to her heart.” Who would ever thought of this kind of creation, but God Himself about you being close to His heart? God looks at you and hold you like a baby, so very close to His heart. This is how near and precious you are to Him. Believe this!
Song: I Am Thine, O Lord
I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told of Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.
Chorus: Draw me near-er, nearer, blessed Lord,
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To Thy precious bleeding side.
