II Kings Miracle

Elisha’s prayer for his servant.
And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and behold, the mountain full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. II Kings 6:17 KJV

The story of Elisha and the servant at Dothan.

The king sent horses, chariots, and many troops to Dothan. They arrived at night and surrounded the city. Elisha’s servant got up early, and when he went out, he saw an army with horses and chariots all around the city. The servant said to Elisha, “Oh my master, what can we do?” Elisha said, “Don’t be afraid. The army that fights for us is larger than the one against us.” Then Elisha prayed, “Lord, open my servant’s eyes, and let him see.” The Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw that the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha (II Kings 6:14-17 NCV).

After Elijah was taken up in chariot toward heaven, he left the mantle to Elisha who was to take over after him. This was one famous story about Elisha and the servant at Dothan. The king of Aram was at war with Israel and all his army came to Dothan to capture the city. When the servant began to panic Elisha prayed. Elisha encouraged him, “Fear not for God’s army is larger than the king of Aram’s army.” I imagined that the servant’s legs were still trembling. Elisha prayed, “Lord… open his eyes that he may see.” And behold the young man saw the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire. Angels of God… ready to bring a miracle!! [Suggest reading 2 Kings 6:8-23].

Let us trust God for a miracle because everybody needs a miracle from time to time. I do; you do. Completely surrounded by the enemy, Elisha and his young servant had no one to turn to for help or protection but a miracle came from God. Let our hearts believe in the miracle that God is greater than our enemy. Verse for the day: “Greater is He that is in you, than he (devil, the enemy) that is in the world” (I John 4:4).

I Kings Prayer

Elijah’s Prayer at Mount Carmel.
…the prophet Elijah went near the altar. “Lord, You are the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel,” he prayed. “Prove that You are the God of Israel and that I am your servant. Show these people that You commanded me to do all these things. Lord, answer my prayer so these people will know that You, Lord, are God and that You will change their minds.” I Kings 18:36-37 NCV

At Mount Carmel, Elijah approached the people and said, “How long will you not decide between two choices? If the Lord is the true God, follow Him, but if Baal is the true God, follow him!” But the people said nothing. Elijah said, “I am the only prophet of the Lord here, but there are 450 prophets of Baal. You prophets of Baal, pray to your god, and I will pray to the Lord. The god who answers by setting fire to his wood is the true God.” All the people agreed that this was a good idea. (I Kings 18:21, 22, 24). So Elijah told the prophets to go first and worship their Baal and pray for the fire to come to the altar. They prayed, shout louder, cut themselves until the blood flowed and danced around the altar of Baal from morning until evening. The Baal did not send the fire and finally, they gave up. It was Elijah’s turn.

Elijah was a man who had faith that his prayers to God at the altar would open the eyes of Israel. The fire of the Lord came down and burned the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, and the ground around the altar. It also dried up the water in the ditch. When all the people saw this, they fell down to the ground, crying, “The Lord is God! The Lord is God!” Elijah’s prayer was answered when Israel turned their heart back to the Lord God of Israel. The people changed their mind about Baal and choose to worship God only. [Suggest reading I Kings 18 Story of King Ahab and Elijah].

One of the Ten Commandment quoted: Thou shalt have no other gods before Me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of any thing. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God. [Exodus 20:1-5 paraphrase]. This is a simple reminder that God is the creator of heaven and earth while any other gods have done nothing. God wants our praise and our adoration so let’s make God happy today.

II Samuel Psalm of Praise

David sang this song to the Lord when the Lord saved him from Saul and all his other enemies. He said: “The Lord is my rock, my protection, my Savior. My God is my rock. I can run to Him for safety. He is my shield and my saving strength, my defender and my place of safety. The Lord saves me from those who want to harm me. I will call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise and I will be saved from my enemies” (2 Samuel 22:1-4 NCV).

Second Samuel only records the reign of David, a period of 40 years (1010-970 B.C.) David was anointed King at Hebron over Judah for seven and a half years (chapter 2:1-4:12). David conquered Jebusites and moved to the city, called Jersualem (5:6-10). David reign at Jersusalem for 33 years over Israel. David came to the closing of life.

David was near death and what was in his heart? A Psalm of praise and David said: “I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies (Psalm 18:1-3 KJV).

David was a young teenager and a shepherd when God told Samuel to anoint David as a future king (I Samuel 16:1-13). From I Samuel 16:14 through 31:13 David ran through many obstacles, something that stand in his ways that prevent David to become king right away. From his youth to his old age, and through all the trials and enemies in his life, David’s heart had always been a song of praise.

Do you have obstacle that stands in your way that kept you from becoming what you want to be? Like David, let us have a song of praise in our heart for “God dwells in the heart of praise.” I pray that this devotion will inspire you to trust God through all your obstacles. God in His time will lead you to what He has called you to be and where He will lead you to do His will. May the Lord God bless you.

I Samuel God’s Battle

“…All the world will know there is a God in Israel! Everyone gathered here will know that the Lord does not need swords or spears to save people. The battle belongs to Him ...” I Samuel 17:46b-47 NCV

This is a story about David facing Goliath, the Philistine. David knew that this was God’s battle. David challenged Goliath and said, “You come to me using a sword and two spears. But I come to you in the name of the Lord All-Powerful, the God of the armies of Israel. You have spoken against Him. Today the Lord will hand you over to me, and I’ll kill you and cut off your head. Today I’ll feed the bodies of the Philistine soldiers to the birds of the air and the wild animals. Then all the world will know there is a God in Israel! Everyone gathered here will know the Lord does not need swords or spears to save people. The battle belongs to him, and He will hand you over to us. As Goliath came near to attack him, David ran quickly to meet him. David took a stone from his bag, put it into his sling, and slung it. The stone hit the Philistine and went deep into his forehead, and Goliath fell facedown on the ground (I Samuel 17:45-49 NCV).

This was a great victory for Israel. David’ faith in God was simple. David spoke the words against Goliath. Are you facing ‘Goliath’? Is your faith simple enough to speak the word against ‘Goliath’? Goliath can represent problems, darkness, and the ailments such as sudden pain, weariness and illness, etc? David’s faith in God and his courage should give us the strength and the motivation to put on the whole armor of God so that we can stand and fight against the devil’s evil tricks.

Prayer: Thank You, heavenly Father for this story of David that inspire us and remind us that the battle belongs to You. We just need to remind ourselves that we cannot fight the battle alone without Your Presence with us. Thank You for the victory over our problems and illnesses in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!

Ruth Trust God

The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of
the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.
Ruth 2:12 KJV

Naomi, Elimelech, her husband and her two sons came to Moab because there was great famine in Bethlehem. The food was plentiful. Naomi’s two sons married Moabite girls. Soon after, Naomi’s husband and her sons died. Naomi decided to go back to Bethlehem and Ruth went with her mother-in-law. To make a living, Ruth went to the fields and gathered the grain that the workers cutting the grain had left behind. The field belonged to Boaz, from the Elimelech’s family. Boaz took noticed of her and asked her to stay in his field for her protection because she was from Moab. Ruth said to Boaz, “I am not an Israelite. Why have you been so kind to notice me?” Boaz answered her, “I know about all the help you have given to your mother-in-law after your husband died. You left your father and mother and your own country to come to a nation where you did not know anyone. May the Lord reward for all you have done. May your wages be paid in full by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for shelter (Ruth 2:10-12 NCV).

Ruth who had come to trust God and God became her shelter, her protector and watched over her. The story went on that Boaz married her and they had a son, Obed. God blessed Ruth who was a Gentile, to have a son and descendant was Jesse and David. The woman told Naomi, “Praise the Lord who gave you this grandson. May he become famous in Israel. He will give you new life and will take care of you in your old age because of your daughter-in-law who loves you” (Ruth 4:14-15).

What does this mean to me? The last few days, I thought of how I left my homeland, California in 1967 and married Tony and traveled over USA as Evangelists and pastored few churches for the Deaf and did several other ministries as well. At the wedding, I remembered the song of Ruth, “Whether thou goest, I will go.” My thought is that now that I am older and I am still in Illinois and my family is in California. It seems like God see my thought and the story of Ruth make a deep impression on me. We are to trust the Lord because the Lord will reward for all that we have done. The Lord is our wings and our shelter and our trust is in Him.

If you have left your homeland to serve God, the Lord will reward for all that you have done for Him. He takes notice of you and He will bless you. Trust God!

Judges Prayer

Ask God to restore your strength.
Then Samson prayed to the Lord, “Lord God, remember
me. God, please give me strength one more time…,”
Judges 16:28 NCV

The book of Judges had thirteen judges between Joshua and Samuel’s time. As the whole book of Judges, one thing was noticed: when the Israel began to worship other gods, God allowed the neighbor of enemies to oppress them. What did Israel do when the oppression got so bad from their enemies? Israelite cried out to God for help. God heard their cries and sent a deliverer to help them defeat their enemies. Then Israel had peace as long as they worship their only true God who was the possessor of heaven and earth.

Samson was one of the 13 judges who had called upon the Lord for help. If you know the story of Samson (Judges 13-16), he was led to the two center pillars that support the whole Temple of Dagon. Samson prayed to the Lord for strength to be able to push the center pillars, causing the Temple of Dagon to fall and destroyed the Philistines rulers and 3,000 people who gathered together to worship their god, Dagon. So the oppression from the Philistines ceased and the Israelite had peace. God was greater than Dagon and He alone was to be worshipped.

This story reminds us that whenever we sense oppression, we like Samson could pray to the Lord to give us strength to command the oppression to leave us alone. The Spirit of the Lord will fill us with great peace. Through the story, we get to know our God who hears our prayers and is willing to give us strength when we ask Him.

Prayer: Lord, I thank You for the story of Judges. You have helped them so many times. So I ask You and know that You are willing to give me strength to do my job. I ask You, Father to give my friends strength for healing as well. I pray that You will pour out the oil of healing and touch their bodies and heal them in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!

Joshua Prayer

When healing is slow, do not be discouraged.
The Lord spoke to Joshua, Moses’ assistant. “Remember that I commanded you to be strong and brave. Don’t be afraid, because
the Lord your God will be with you everywhere you go”
(Joshua 1:1, 9 NCV).

This is a story about Joshua taking Moses’ place to carry on the work of the Lord. Joshua had been with Moses during forty years of wilderness wandering. Now Joshua had entered a promised land and it was a huge responsibilities. Joshua may have been afraid. God encouraged Joshua not to be afraid and to be strong and to be brave. God said to Joshua, “No one will be able to defeat you all your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forget you” (Joshua 1:5 NCV).

Have you ever been afraid? Have you ever felt like when you pray for healing, it seems to come very slow or not at all? God has given us His Word of encouragement. “Remember that I commanded you to be strong and brave. Don’t be afraid, because the Lord your God will be with you.”

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you for courage to face obstacles that come in my way. Like Joshua, You encouraged Joshua not to be afraid and to overcome the enemies and to be victorious because You helped him. I know You are encouraging me and my friends not to give up when the healing is slow. You are with me and You are with them. You are there when my friends are suffering. Help us to keep our eyes on You through Jesus’ name we pray, amen!

Deuteronomy Prayer

God alone is the source of your healing.
God said, "Now you will see that I am the one God!
There is no god but Me." Deuteronomy 32:39 NCV

"The Lord will make you like the head and not like the tail; you will be on top and not on bottom. But you must obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, being careful to keep them." Deuteronomy 28:13

Moses spoke to the people of Israel to observe the laws and there would be blessings for obeying God’s laws and there would be curses if they disobeyed the laws. The Lord had already chosen Israel to be the top of all nations around them. Why was that? All other nations had their own gods to worship to. King Solomon proved that as long as he put God first. The nation of Israel was blessed. King Solomon started to worship other gods that his foreign wives brought in. God brought judgment against those who worship the idols and God tried to bring them back to Him.

This is a good warning to remember and to take heed to honor and worship God who is the creator of heaven and earth. He loves you and wants to bless you and I encourage you to put Him first in your life.

Prayer: “You are God, the creator of heaven and earth. No other god can created heaven and earth like You did. We know that You, God are the only One who create our bodies and knows every part of our bodies. When doctors have done all they could to help our bodies to be cured and could do nothing more, then we turn to You because You are the source of our healing. We have hope in You. Help us to be persistent and never give up on Your word of promise. We felt good because we honor You and trust You. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen!

Numbers Prayer

“Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “Please heal her, O God, I pray.”
Number 12:13

From the chapter 13 of Numbers, there was a story about Miriam and she did something that wasn’t pleasing to the Lord. Miriam became leprous and she had skin disease. So Moses cried out to the Lord, “God, please heal her!” After seven days, God healed Miriam.

Have you ever faced someone went against you even though God had led you to do the work He had called you to do that? It really hurt, doesn’t it? Moses experienced this, with Aaron, his brother and Miriam, his sister. Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses about two things: Moses married the Ethiopian woman. Perhaps, it was about being married to a Gentile wife and not married to a Jewish woman as their custom. Second thing, Miriam influenced Aaron against Moses for being the only person that God speak to. Miriam probably was a self-center person and said, “Is Moses the only one the Lord speaks through? Doesn’t He also speak through us [v.2]?” Was Miriam right? Know something? Verse 2 said, ‘And the Lord heard this.’ The Lord spoke to Miriam and Aaron from verse four through nine. How did God felt? He was very angry with them. God choose Moses to speak to, not to Aaron and Miriam.

Let stop for a moment and think, ‘And the Lord heard this.’ You know, I have had some persons who question us if God was leading us to do this or that. Here is one example: two of the ministers questioned Tony and me, “Why do you work at Deaf Video Communication?” Our answers were simple: God led us! But that didn’t satisfy them. It was as if they didn’t believe we were really in the will of God. The friendship was not pleasant or enjoyable. After reading the story about Miriam and Aaron, I realized that the Lord heard what those two ministers have said to us. God may hold them accountable for the way they had questioned Tony and me if God really led us to D.V.C. What should we do? Like Moses, we cried out to the Lord and said, “Please forgive those ministers who questioned us why we work for Deaf Video Communication. Please forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.” In Jesus name, amen!

Moses showed a good prayer example for his sister to be healed of skin disease. God did answer Moses’ prayer and Miriam was healed. God is a merciful God!

Leviticus Prayer

God heals the body of every disease.
“If the body develops a boil in the skin, and it is healed…”
Leviticus 13:18
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for healing skin cancer for those who have it. We claim this verse that You healed every disease in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

God was always gentle, kind, and loving to His children throughout the Exodus and Leviticus. What is in the book of Leviticus that would picture God as a good God? God cares for His people Israel and He wants to come and be among His people through the Ark inside the Tabernacle. So God offer the way of access to come to God through the atonement; through sacrifices, through priestly intercession between people and God; through purification of laws and through the revelation of the blood. He gave instruction to the Levites and the people how to come to God in the way of living unto God, holiness as to be separated unto Himself and how to worship Him. There were laws to follow and the blessings come to those who obey and the curse comes to those who disobeyed.

Does this build us an image of an almighty God who is harsh and stern—with glaring eyes of steel? Do we see Him with a whip in His hand, ready to beat us every time we make the slightest mistake? Through reading the book of Leviticus could makes us think how strict and stern God was? All that changed when Christ came to be among His people. John 3:16 is still a famous verse to prove how much God loved us and the whole world. All that Leviticus recorded were actually “a shadow to come.” Who was the “shadow to come?” Jesus Christ our Lord! When Christ came, all things changed.

Christ was the center of the whole book of Leviticus. At Calvary, the moment Jesus died on the cross, the curtains in the most Holy Place was torn. Why? God finally came out on the day of Pentecost and through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, He now dwells among His own people. Wow! What a big difference between Leviticus strict sacrifices that kept people separate from God and now through the blood of Jesus Christ, God lives inside of us. What a mighty entrance! Sound of a thunderous wind! Tongues of fire upon each 120 intercessors! Since then God is among us through Jesus Christ our Lord. Accept Him as your personal Savior today!

Exodus Prayer:

“The Lord showed them the way; during the day He went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud, and during the night He was in a pillar of fire to give them light. In this way they could travel during the day or night. The pillar of cloud was always with them during the day, and the pillar of fire was always with them at night.” Exodus 13:21-22 NCV

“The Lord gives me strength and makes me sing; He has saved me. He is my God, and I will praise Him. He is the God of my fathers, and I will honor Him. The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is His name.” Exodus 15:2-3 NCV

“I am the Lord who heals you.” Exodus 15:26c NCV

The story of Moses of how God has led Israel through the Red Sea and the king of Egypt (Pharaoh) and his army chased them and they were drowned. In Exodus chapter 15:1-21 Moses and the Israelites sang the song of victory to the Lord. They glorified God through the words of praise. They felt good. Why? The enemies were defeated. The story reminds us who God is. It gives us faith to put our trust in God.

Prayer for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for showing me the verses about how Your Presence will guide me to walk in my healing through any trial and wilderness. You have been with Israel for 40 years through a pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire so I know You are with me all the days of my life. I thank You, Father that You are my warrior that fight my battle against the attack of illness. You are my strength. You put a song in my heart. You have saved me. You are my God and You are my healer in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!

Genesis Prayer

“But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant
it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day,
to save many people alive. Genesis 50:20 NKJV

“Then Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Can I do what
only God can do? You meant to hurt me, but God turned your
evil into good to save the lives of many people, which is
being done. So don’t be afraid. I will take care of you and
your children.” So Joseph comforted his brothers and spoke
kind words to them. Genesis 50:19-21 NCV

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for showing me the story
of Joseph about how his brothers have hurt him, and why You
permit evil things happened to Joseph. Through trials, Joseph
rose to become the second ruler of Egypt and save many lives.
This story helps me to see why I am facing some people who have
hurt me. You, heavenly Father have turned their hurts against me
into good, to build my character of love and forgiveness toward
them. You are building my character like you did with Joseph.
Help me to be kind toward others in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

Dorothy:
The style of prayer help me to expand my prayer to God. I was
was blessed. I believe God has a purpose in leading the kind
of prayer we might need in different circumstances we face. They
truly bless me and I believe God will bless you when you sign
the prayer to God. May God bless and enrich you.

Philemon Prayer

Paul’s Prayer for Philemon.
“I always thank my God when I mention you in my prayers,
because I hear about the love you have for all God’s people
and the faith you have in the Lord Jesus. I pray that the
faith you share may make you understand every blessing
we have in Christ. I have great joy and comfort, my brother,
because the love you have shown to God’s people has
refreshed them.” Philemon 1:4-7 NCV

Who was Philemon? Philemon was a slave owner. He was a
Church member at Colosse. Perhaps he was saved under Paul.
Onesimus was a slave under Philemon. Onesimus ran away from
Colosse and went to Rome. Later, he met with Paul and Paul
led him to Christ. Paul wrote a personal letter to Philemon
who had lived in Colosse. Paul also wrote another letter to
Colossians, the group of Christians. So both letters were
written and delivered at the same time.

Paul wrote further to Philemon about Onesimus and to forgive
him and accept him as a brother in Christ. Paul’s prayer for
Philemon was his great love toward God’s people. Onesimus
went back to Philemon with an open arms. The history told
that Onesimus became the most beloved Pastor to the church.
It was through Paul’s love and Philemon’s love toward him
and that is what made Onesimus a great servant of the Lord.

Do you have love for others? Love will lead you to pray
for your brothers and sisters in the Lord. May the Lord touch
your heart and enrich your soul. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!

Corinthian Prayer

For Paul:
"And you can help me with your prayers. Then many people will give
thanks for us--that God blessed us because of their prayers."
2 Corinthians 1:11 NCV

Example of Paul's Request in Prayer.

Brothers and sisters, we want you to know about trouble we suffered in Asia. We had great burdens there that were beyond our own strength. We even gave up hope of living. Truly, in our own heart we believed we would die. But this happened so we would not trust in ourselves but in God, who raises people from the dead. God saved us from these great dangers of death, and He will continue to save us. We have put our hope in Him, and He will save us again."
2 Corinthians 1:8-10 NCV

Dorothy: Paul had suffered greatly and he felt the danger of facing death. The group of Christian people who lived in the town, Corinth, they had received a letter from Paul. They prayed earnestly for Paul. Paul said that because of their prayers, God had saved Paul and his co-workers from facing death.

What does this means to me?
The topic of different prayers help me to broaden my view of "how to pray" for others especially with words we don't often hear because many of us are Deaf. Now Paul was a missionary and it gave me a better understanding what Paul was going through. Yes, I read that part many times, but this topic of different prayers touched my heart even more. I pray that it will give us a new burden to allow Holy Spirit to lead us with an intercessory prayer for others and for our missionaries. Just allow Holy Spirit to bring you a name of a person to pray for and God will bless your labor of love to pray for others. May the Lord bless you.

Thessalonian Prayer

Prayer for you:
"We always thank God for all of you and mention you
when we pray. We continually recall (remember good
things) before God our Father the things you have
done because of your faith and the work you have
done because of your love. And we thank Him that
you continue to be strong because of your hope
in our Lord Jesus Christ."
I Thessalonians 1:2-3 NCV

"We must always thank God for you, brothers and
sisters. This is only right, because your faith
is growing more and more, and the love that every
one of you has for each other is increasing."
II Thess. 1:3

Song: A Quiet Place
There is a quiet place,
far from the rapid pace,
Where God can soothe my troubled mind;
Sheltered by tree and flow'r,
there in my quiet hour
With Him, my cares are left behind.
Whether a garden small
or on a mountain tall,
New strength and courage there I find;
Then from this quiet place
I go prepared to face
a new day with love for all mankind.

Colossian Prayer

Prayer for you:
"...we have continued praying for you, asking God
that you will know fully what He wants. We pray that
you will also have great wisdom and understanding in
spiritual things so that you will live the kind of
life that honors and pleases the Lord in every way.
You will produce fruit in every good work and grow
in the knowledge of God. God will strengthen you
with His own great power so that you will not give
up when troubles come, but you will be patient. And
you will joyfully give thanks to the Father who has
made you able to have a share in all that He has
prepared for His people in the kingdom of light.
God has freed us from the power of darkness, and
He brought us into the kingdom of His dear Son.
The Son paid for our sins, and in him we have
forgiveness." In Jesus' name we pray. Amen!
Colossians 1:9b-14 NCV.

Prayer Song:
I want more of Jesus, more and more and more
I want more of Jesus than I ever had before;
I want more of His great love So rich, so full and free
I want more of Jesus, so I'll give Him more of me.
[Inspiring Choruses]
"I will sing... with understanding." I Corinthians 14:15

Prayer changes us. Prayer draw us closer to the Lord.
Prayer uplifts us. Prayer opens the way to the very
throne of God. Prayer keeps us in tune with God. Prayer
keeps us alive in the Spirit. Prayer language delights
God. God lives in the heart of praise and prayer. May
the Lord enrich you more and more as you continue to
pray always. Jesus declared, "always pray and never
lose hope."

Philippian Prayer

Prayer for you:
This is my prayer for you: that your love will grow more and
more; that you will have the knowledge and understanding
with your love; that you will see the difference between good
and bad and will choose the good; that you will be pure and
without wrong for the coming of Christ; that you will do many
things with the help of Christ to bring glory and praise to God.
Philippians 1:9-11 New Century Version

Whisper a prayer in the evening
It will keep your heart in tune.

God answers prayer in the morning
God answers prayer at noon
God answers prayer in the evening
He'll keep your heart in tune.

Jesus may come in the morning
Jesus may come at noon
Jesus may come in the evening
So keep your heart in tune.

Dear Heavenly Father keep us close to You in time of trouble.
Let our inner spirit be at peace. Let our trust in You to become
stronger. Let our faith soar high as an eagle. Let our strength
be strong as a ox. Let our love shine forth as the sun. Let our
'talk' speak of love and tenderness like Christ. Let our compassion
become deep for others like Christ. Let our work of Christ shine for
others that You Father will be so happy and be glorified.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen!

Ephesian Prayer 2

Prayer for you:
So I bow in prayer before the Father from whom
every family in heaven and on earth gets its
true name. I ask the Father in His great glory
to give you the power to be strong inwardly
through His Spirit. I pray that Christ will
live in your hearts by faith and that your
life will be strong in love and be built
on love. And I pray that you and all God's
holy people will have the power to understand
the greatness of Christ's love--how wide and
how long and how high and how deep that love
is. Christ's love is greater than anyone can
ever know, but I pray that you will be able to
know that love. Then you can be filled with the
fullness of God. With God's power working in us,
God can do much, much more than anything we
can ask or imagine. To Him be the glory in
the church and in Christ Jesus for all time,
forever and ever. Amen. [In Jesus' name, amen]
Ephesians 3:14-21 NCV.

Dorothy:
I continue to pray for you through quoting
Paul's prayer and I believe God is bringing
healing to your body right now. As I lay
my hand upon you and be healed in Jesus'
name. If your hip is hurting you, God is
healing you right now. If your right
shoulder is hurting you, God is healing
you, right now in Jesus' name. Amen!

The Ephesian Prayer

Prayer for you:
I have not stopped giving thanks to God for you.
I always remember you in my prayers, asking the
God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father,
to give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation so
that you will know Him better. I pray also that
you will have greater understanding in your heart
so you will know the hope to which He has called
us and that you will know how rich and glorious
are the blessings God has promised His holy people.
And you will know that God's power is very great
for us who believe. That power is the same as the
great strength God used to raise Christ from the
dead and put Him at His right side in the heavenly
world. Ephesians 1:16-20 New Century Version.

My mother wrote this prayer in her letter to me
