Be Joyful

"... the Lord had made them joyful ..."
Ezra 6:22
And ". . . the joy of the Lord is
your strength." Nehemiah 8:10

I remember a story of Corrie Ten Boom during
1950's in another country. She visited one
institution where some people were war victims.

They gathered together to listen to Corrie.
As she was sitting, she described the atmosphere
were so gloomy and the faces of the people were
so sad, depressed and war-scarred.

She felt helpless as to what could she say to
them. Then the Lord told her to say something
joyful from the Bible verses. She acted happy
and sang several songs of joy.

Later, she felt guilty as to why the Lord
would have her do that. One of the workers
said that she was glad that Corrie did the
joyful speech because she had "planted seeds
of joyfulness" in their hearts. Soon they would
come out of their gloomy atmosphere. They just
forgot what's like to be happy again.

If you are going through gloomy or moody time,
find joyful messages in the Bible. Act out in
faith against your feelings that pulled you down.

So be joyful in the Lord today!

Song: Joy Unspeakable

It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,
Full of glory, full of glory;
It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,
Oh, the half has never yet been told.
(B. E. Warren)
