Wise Shall Shine

Verse for the Day:
Matthew 5:14-16 NCV
Jesus said, You are the light that gives light to the world. A city that is built on a hill cannot be hidden. And the people don't hide a light under a bowl. They put it on the lampstand so the light shines for all the people in the house. In the same way, you should be a light for other people. Live so that they will see the good things you do and will praise your Father in heaven.

Daniel 12:3
NCV: The wise people will shine like the brightness of the sky. Those who teach others to live right will shine like stars forever and ever.
KJV: And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

WISE SHALL SHINE.
Note: The wise, as described (explained) in the Old Testament, are the godly. (In the New Testament, the godly are called Christians). They show their wisdom not only by how they live but by the effect (influence) of their lives and testimony, for they lead many to a righteous way of life. Their shining means they will be transformed and the glory of God will be reflected in and through them.

Dorothy:
Do you want God, your heavenly Father to be happy? Jesus gave answer how we can do that. KJV: "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Glorify have other meaning: to make seem better. I would say to make one happier. We make God happier when others see our good works. See our good works? Hummmm... I am thinking about the theme, "cold shoulder". Is "cold shoulder" considered a good work? No, it is a bad work. It does not make God happy because others see our bad work by giving "cold shoulder". Doesn't this make us want to change to a "warm heart" toward others? Let us be like "wise people who shine like the stars." Bring out the radiant of warm love toward others.

What this means to me?
Jesus' Word bring life. Jesus' Word inside of us shine like the stars. Have you ever seen stars when you go outside? They shine so brightly during the night. The Word of God shine inside of us. The song: Wonderful Words of Life should give us richer meaning to sing.

Song: Wonderful Words of Life
Sing them over again to me, Wonderful words of life;
Let me more of their beauty see, Wonderful words of life;
Words of life and beauty, Teach me faith and duty;
Beautiful words, wonderful words, Wonderful words of life;
Beautiful words, wonderful words, Wonderful words of life.
