The Battle Cry

Verse for the Day: Hosea 8:1a
"Put the trumpet to your lips and give the warning!
The enemy swoops down on the Lord's people like an eagle."

Song: Rouse, Then Soldiers!
1. Sound the battle cry! See, the foe is nigh;
Raise the standard high for the Lord;
Gird your armor on; Stand firm, every one;
Rest your cause upon His holy Word.
Chorus:
Rouse, then soldiers, rally round the banner;
Ready, steady, pass the word along;
Onward, forward, shout a loud Hosanna!
Christ is Captain of the mighty throng.

2. Oh! Thou God of all, Hear us when we call;
Help us one and all By Thy grace;
When the battle's done And the victory's won,
May we wear the crown Before Thy Face. [Chorus]

Dorothy: On the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) channel, I happened to watch the program that talked about "The Battle Cry" and I didn't have the chance to remember the speaker's name. He also wrote a book. The speaker mentioned that there are only 4% of the Christians and we have not been successful reaching 96% of people who have not accepted Christ as their personal Savior. The program talked about today's young generation that they need to reach before they could lose America's Freedom of religious. Today's generation are the ones that need to be reached to value American's Freedom. The verse says that the enemy is like an eagle swooping down to the Lord's people. It could means that we the Christians could lose our freedom of worship in America. So let us pray that we don't lose that and also for the today's generation.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, we are praying that the Holy Spirit will be moving among the Christians who have the ability to talk to them about Jesus. We pray for them that Holy Spirit will open the hearts of today's generation that they will accept Christ as their Savior. Help us to intercede for them at times when Holy Spirit remind us to pray for them and the people who are Deaf to open up their hearts to Jesus. Thank you for hearing our prayers, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
