Is God Silence?

Question: Is God silence, sitting and watching the world go by?
Let's read the scripture and the song.

When God Marched Through the Desert.
Psalm 68:1-7 NCV
v1 Let God rise up and scatter his enemies; let those who hate him run away from him. v2 Blow them away as smoke is driven away by the wind. As wax melts before a fire, let the wicked be destroyed before God. v3 But those who do right should be glad and should rejoice before God; they should be happy and glad. v4 Sing to God' sing praises to his name, Prepare the way for him who rides through the desert, whose name is Lord. Rejoice before him. v5 God is in his holy Temple. He is a father to orphans, and he defends the widows. v6 God gives the lonely a home. He leads the prisoners out with joy, but those who turn against God will live in a dry land. v7 God, you led your people out when you marched through the desert.

Dorothy:
What does verse 7 means? God led Israel through 40 years of wilderness through His pillar of cloud by day, and a pillar of fire by night. Can you imagine "God Marched Through the Desert"? God was in the action. God was involved. God was leading His people. God talked to His people through Moses. God wasn't just being silence and watch His people go by. The verses of the song describe what God was doing. If you read Psalm 68:8-35 David described similar ways of God. It showed that God was in action, blessing His people and what God did with enemies who hated Him.

Song: Battle Hymn of the Republic
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword;
His truth is marching on.
Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory! glory, hallelujah!
Glory! glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on.

He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never sound retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat.
O be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet,
Our God is marching on.
Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory! glory, hallelujah!
Glory! glory, hallelujah! Our God is marching on.

Psalm 68:1-35 LET GOD ARISE.
Note: This psalm, celebrating God's rule over and care of His people Israel and His victory over His enemies, may foreshadow (1) Christ's destruction of evil and the evil one at the end of the age, and (2) triumph of all believers in Christ, as they rejoice eternally in the presence of God (Rev. 19-21).

What does this means to me?
Holy Spirit wants us to know who God is. Our God is marching on. Trust Him. Love Him. Worship Him. Sing to Him for praise is comely. It is right for us Christians to praise Him. May the Lord bless you real good today.
