Rivers of Water

A mind that mediates on God's Word regularly.
Psalm 1:2,3
KJV: But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth is fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
NCV: They love the Lord's teachings day and night. They are strong, like a tree planted by a river. The tree produces fruit in season, and its leaves don't die. Everything they do will succeed.

Note from The Full Life Bible Study.
1:3 RIVERS OF WATER.
The outcome [result] of those who faithfully seek God and His Word is life in the Spirit. Since the water often represents the Spirit of God [John 7:38-39], those who are instructed by God and abide in His Word will receive an unfailing [never stop flowing] source [beginning] of life from the Spirit. The phrase "whatsoever he doeth shall prosper" does not mean that problems or failure will never occur [happen], but rather that a godly person will know God's will and blessing.

Other selective notes about Psalm 1:2.
"His delight is in the law of the Lord": Those who are blessed by God build their lives around the words of the Lord. What motivates their actions are their redeemed spirits and emotions, captivated by the truth of God as found in His Word. "In His law doeth he mediate day and night": Those seeking to live under God's blessing mediate on God's Word in order to shape their thinking, attitudes, and actions. They read the words of Scripture, ponder them, and compare them with other Scriptures.

Dorothy: What does this mean to me?
The Holy Spirit brings song, or God's Word to motivate me to study the Scripture and to enjoy Holy Spirit's Fresh Manna from heaven, what God wants to share with us. My delight is in the Word of God and this is why I have Fresh Manna to share, not to keep within myself. It is like rivers of water runs through me to you and you to others. We will be like a tree planted by the RIVERS OF WATER, keeping fresh waters, and God's Word, the Fresh Manna From Heaven.

Song: Cleanse Me
Lord, take my life, and make it wholly Thine:
Fill my poor soul with Thy great love divine;
Take all my will, my passion, self and pride;
I now surrender: Lord, in me abide.
