Praise Is Comely

Song: To God Be the Glory
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father through Jesus the Son;
And give Him the glory, great things He hath done.

Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer and higher and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.
[Fanny Crosby]

Praise Is Comely.
Psalm 33:1
KJV: Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous:
for praise is comely for the upright.
NCV: Sing to the Lord, you who do what is right;
honest people should praise him.
AMP: Rejoice in the Lord, O you [uncompromisingly]
righteous [you upright, in right standing with God];
for praise is becoming and appropriate for those
who are upright in heart.

Psalm 147:1
KJV: Praise ye the LORD, for it is good to sing praises
unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
NCV: Praise the Lord! It is good to sing praises to our
God; it is good and pleasant to praise Him.
AMP: Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises
to our God, for He is gracious and lovely; praise is
becoming and appropriate.

Dorothy:

At 3 a.m. I woke up with a song, "Praise the Lord", and
soon afterward, the Holy Spirit brought words to me,
"Praise is comely." The technology Bible shows only
two places, Psalm 37:1 and 147:1. So I looked up the
words to increase my understanding of God's word,
"Praise is comely." It is exactly what New Century
Version interprets, it is good and pleasant to praise
Him. It is 'suitable' just to praise the Lord.

Dictionary:
Comely means having pleasant appearance.
Becoming means suitable.
Appropriate means suitable or proper [agree or right thing].
Suitable means right for the occasion; fitting; proper.
Suit means be becoming to [Her blue hat suits her fair skin].
In ASL: agree, fit, look right.
