Leviticus Prayer

God heals the body of every disease.
“If the body develops a boil in the skin, and it is healed…”
Leviticus 13:18
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for healing skin cancer for those who have it. We claim this verse that You healed every disease in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

God was always gentle, kind, and loving to His children throughout the Exodus and Leviticus. What is in the book of Leviticus that would picture God as a good God? God cares for His people Israel and He wants to come and be among His people through the Ark inside the Tabernacle. So God offer the way of access to come to God through the atonement; through sacrifices, through priestly intercession between people and God; through purification of laws and through the revelation of the blood. He gave instruction to the Levites and the people how to come to God in the way of living unto God, holiness as to be separated unto Himself and how to worship Him. There were laws to follow and the blessings come to those who obey and the curse comes to those who disobeyed.

Does this build us an image of an almighty God who is harsh and stern—with glaring eyes of steel? Do we see Him with a whip in His hand, ready to beat us every time we make the slightest mistake? Through reading the book of Leviticus could makes us think how strict and stern God was? All that changed when Christ came to be among His people. John 3:16 is still a famous verse to prove how much God loved us and the whole world. All that Leviticus recorded were actually “a shadow to come.” Who was the “shadow to come?” Jesus Christ our Lord! When Christ came, all things changed.

Christ was the center of the whole book of Leviticus. At Calvary, the moment Jesus died on the cross, the curtains in the most Holy Place was torn. Why? God finally came out on the day of Pentecost and through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, He now dwells among His own people. Wow! What a big difference between Leviticus strict sacrifices that kept people separate from God and now through the blood of Jesus Christ, God lives inside of us. What a mighty entrance! Sound of a thunderous wind! Tongues of fire upon each 120 intercessors! Since then God is among us through Jesus Christ our Lord. Accept Him as your personal Savior today!
