Corinthian Prayer

For Paul:
"And you can help me with your prayers. Then many people will give
thanks for us--that God blessed us because of their prayers."
2 Corinthians 1:11 NCV

Example of Paul's Request in Prayer.

Brothers and sisters, we want you to know about trouble we suffered in Asia. We had great burdens there that were beyond our own strength. We even gave up hope of living. Truly, in our own heart we believed we would die. But this happened so we would not trust in ourselves but in God, who raises people from the dead. God saved us from these great dangers of death, and He will continue to save us. We have put our hope in Him, and He will save us again."
2 Corinthians 1:8-10 NCV

Dorothy: Paul had suffered greatly and he felt the danger of facing death. The group of Christian people who lived in the town, Corinth, they had received a letter from Paul. They prayed earnestly for Paul. Paul said that because of their prayers, God had saved Paul and his co-workers from facing death.

What does this means to me?
The topic of different prayers help me to broaden my view of "how to pray" for others especially with words we don't often hear because many of us are Deaf. Now Paul was a missionary and it gave me a better understanding what Paul was going through. Yes, I read that part many times, but this topic of different prayers touched my heart even more. I pray that it will give us a new burden to allow Holy Spirit to lead us with an intercessory prayer for others and for our missionaries. Just allow Holy Spirit to bring you a name of a person to pray for and God will bless your labor of love to pray for others. May the Lord bless you.
