Turn Your Eyes

Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity;
and quicken thou me in thy way. Psalm 119:37
Bread Box for 7/7/10

When reading this verse, one does not really
grasp this meaning until I found the devotion
that interpreted this very clearly from NKJV.
It says, “Turn away my eyes from looking at
worthless things, and revive me in Your way.”

You know we have many choices to look at.
One, we go to several bookstores and boy you
see so many books. For example, a friend told
where she worked at the bookstore that most
kids and adults went to one area: wizards and
occult books. Even though it seems attraction
to them, they were “looking at worthless things.”

If we do not spend time with His Word at all,
then anything we put our eyes on other things
would be considered, “worthless things.” So
in the morning or in the evening, find time to,
“Turn your eyes upon Jesus.” Let’s make it
worthwhile and ...

Let His Word revive us today!

Song: Turn Your Eyes upon Jesus
Turn your eyes upon Jesus;
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of the earth
will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace.
