Like Sheep

"All we like sheep have gone astray ..." Isaiah 53:6a

Have you ever felt like, "we have turned everyone
to his own way ...?" Isaiah 53:6b

What to do? "And the Lord hath laid on Him (Jesus)
the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53:6c

Ncv: We all have wandered away like sheep;
each of us has gone his own way. But the Lord
has put on him (Himself) the punishment for all
the evil we have done (Is. 53:6).

You know what's amazing? We should have been
punished for being like a sheep easily strayed.
But Jesus took our punishment upon Him at the
cross. Our dear Shepherd truly loves us as His
own sheep and we are His sheep. Are you thankful?
I am now.

So let's trust our Shepherd today!

Song that I remember often:
"Savior, Like a Shepherd Lead us."
Savior, like a shepherd lead us;
Much we need Thy tender care;
In Thy pleasant pastures feed us,
For our use Thy folds prepare:
Blessed Jesus, Blessed Jesus,
Thou hast brought us, Thine we are;
Blessed Jesus, Blessed Jesus,
Thou hast brought us, Thine we are.

Hymns for the Young, 1836)
