Not Limiting God

Psalm 78:41 [Summary]
KJV: They limited the Holy One of Israel.
NCV: They brought pain to the Holy One of Israel.

Have you wondered what Psalm 78:41 really mean? In the whole chapter Psalm 78 it was about how God saved Israel from Egypt and how the people of Israel have seen the miracles of God so many times yet they doubted Him. David said, “They limited Him.” They did not believe His Word. They did not believe God would keep His promises. God who loves His own people, Israel and it cause great pain in God’s heart when they doubted Him.

When we pray, we need to remember not to limit God by our doubt or unbelief. When we pray, expect great things from God. When we pray, think about what He can do. When we pray, think about how God delights to hear your prayers. When we pray, quiet time is good that will lead us to worship God in His glory. Quoting the scripture will help us remember: Jeremiah 32:17 & 27 “Ah, Lord God! Thou hast made the heaven and the earth by Thy great power; there is nothing too hard for Thee.” v27 God said: “Behold, I am the Lord: is there anything too hard for Me?”

Prayer: Oh Lord God of heaven and earth, please forgive us for causing great pain in Your heart when we sometimes question, “Why You haven’t done anything for the people who are Deaf?” We ask for Holy Spirit to give us assurance that You will do great thing for Deaf people and help us not to limit You or to doubt You, but to believe Your Word with our whole heart. We cried to Thee with our whole heart and hear our prayers. We are asking you for a miracle among the people who are Deaf. We trust You and continue to believe You. May the Holy Spirit anoint our hearts and know that You have heard our prayers and will answer them in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!

Song: My God can do anything, anything, Anything, My God can do anything. He made this earth with all its fullness And all the time shall bring. My God.. can do.. anything….
