Good News! Part 10

"Angel Appeared to Cornelius"
From the book of Acts 10 an angel appeared to a Roman
Centurion. The angel gave him an instruction to send men
to find Peter in another town. God had prepared Peter to
bring the "Good News" to the Gentiles. When Peter preached,
Cornelius and his household had accepted the Lord and they
were also filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in another
language that they have never learned before.

This reminds me of Malachi 1:11b "...my name shall be great
among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be
offered unto my name..." Four hundred years later, a Gentile,
Cornelius, offered his prayer and this was what God was looking
for, a prayer of incense that went into the presence of God.

I remembered the old song in Rev. Ferguson's hearing church, in
Riverside, California during my teen years, the song, "Jesus Saves"
through the interpreter. I watched the people who really poured
their hearts and souls into the song, "Jesus Saves". People were
saved and filled with Holy Spirit. During that time, I was
filled with Holy Spirit and spoke in new languages that really
shocked me because I wasn't even taught how to do that. Holy
Spirit just "talked" through me and it was a heavenly language
that I felt like I was in heaven on earth. The song, "Jesus Saves"
came from the book called, "Sing His Praise", Gospel Publishing
House, Springfield, MO. 65802-1894

We have heard the joyful sound:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Spread the tidings all around:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Bear the news to every land;
Climb the steep and cross the waves;
Onward! 'Tis the Lord's command.
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!

Give the winds a mighty voice:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Let the nations now rejoice:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Shout salvation full and free,
Highest hills and deepest caves;
This our song of victory:
Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
