“The
Lord’s compassion fail not. They are new
every morning” (Lamentations 3:22-33).
*Lamentations
chapter 3 reminds us that “the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His
mercies never come to an end” (Lam. 3:22 ESV) and that God is faithful to the
end even when everything seems to be falling apart. This means that in the
midst of our pain, even though we may not feel His presence, He is there as our
trusted companion who will never walk away and let us down! [*Quoted by Joe Stowell]
Dorothy:
It was an encouragement to me to remember that Lord’s compassion never fail and
His mercies are new every morning. It is like a water flowing fresh in the
Spirit, brand new mercy. And I
remembered the song.
Song: At Calvary
Mercy
there was great and grace was free;
Pardon
there was multiplied to me;
There
my burdened soul found liberty,
At
Cal – va – ry.
