Psalm 40:2a
He brought me out . . . of the miry clay . . .
We are moving 8 steps up to Apartment #5. Nicer apt than Apt #2. And there are so many things to pack and getting them ready for this Saturday on June 25th. It reminds me of a song, "He brought me out of the miry clay" and that sentence fits our moving times. But the correct word would be cluster. So I should quote, "He brought me out of the cluster day." Cluster means a number of things growing or collected, or grouped together.
You know there are so many things in my office that piles up. They are called 'cluster.' I sort them out and tried to organize them in the file box. But the word, miry came from the word, mire. I just learn what that actually meant. Mire is a noun. It is a wet spongy ground or heavy deep mud or slush.
Moving things can be confusing time so the song and the verse helped me like this: Psalm 40:2b "He set my feet upon a Rock, and established my goings." To me, this line means God gives me ideas and helps me settle my thinking what to pack and find things together. He helps me organize things and it made me feels good.
The chorus is a blessing to me:
He brought me out of the miry clay,
He set my feet on the Rock to stay;
He puts a song in my soul today,
A song of praise, hallelujah!
(Henry L. Gilmour, Chorus, Sing His Praise)
For me: "He brought me out of the cluster day,
He set my mind on Jesus to stay;
He put peace in my heart today,
A song of praise and victory."
So I have peace of mind day by day and a guidance
from Holy Spirit to lead the way. Praise the Lord!
May the Lord bless you today!
Dorothy
