Matthew 19:13-15 Jesus Welcomes Children
NVC-Then the people brought their little children
to Jesus so he could put his hands on them and
pray for them. His followers told them to stop,
but Jesus said, "Let the little children come to
me. Don't stop them, because the kingdom of heaven
belongs to people who are like these children. After
Jesus put his hands on the children, he left there."
Mark 10:13-16 Jesus Accepts Children
NVC-Some people brought their little children to Jesus so
he could touch them, but his followers told them to stop.
When Jesus saw this, he was upset and said to them, "Let
the little children come to me. Don't stop them, because
the kingdom of God belongs to people who are like these
children. I tell you the truth, you must accept the
kingdom of God as if you were a little child, or you
will never enter it." Then Jesus took the children in
his arms, put his hands on them, and blessed them.
Luke 18:15-17 Who Will Enter God's Kingdom?
NVC-Some people brought even their babies to Jesus so
He could touch them. When the followers saw this, they
told them to stop. But Jesus called for the children,
saying, "Let the little children come to me. Don't stop
them, because kingdom of God belongs to people who are
like these children. I tell you the truth, you must
accept the kingdom of God as if you were a child, or
you will never enter it."
Dorothy: To be like a child are: love, hug, playful,
joyful, laughing, smiling, caring, trusting, etc. Jesus
wants to remind disciples that the kind of people that goes
to heaven, are the kind of people as if they were a child.
Prayer: Lord, I pray that the word of God reminds us to
stay in complete trust in You like a child who trust their
parent completely. Let the word of Jesus saturated our
hearts and minds to remember this. In Jesus' name. Amen
