It Is No Secret!

Song: It Is No Secret What God Can Do
It is no secret...
what God can do.
What He's done for others,
He'll do for you.
With arms wide open,
He'll pardon you.
It is no secret...
what God can do.

Dorothy:

It is a very old song and I am not sure
why Holy Spirit brought this up, but
praise God, He cares enough to tell you
this. I went ahead and publish this.
I believe someone needs to hear this.

When I was reading the booklet, "Speaking
in Tongues" by Rev. Philip Curtis and the
Holy Spirit stirred my heart to speak in
another language to God while reading and
I received this song. I believe God must
have want to encourage you to believe in
Him. That it is NO SECRET what God can do.
It is a beautiful song of encouragement.
I pray that God will touch your heart today.

Wonderful!

Song: Wonderful, Wonderful!
Wonderful, wonderful, Jesus is to me.
Counselor, prince of peace, mighty God is He.
Saving me, keeping me, from all sins and shame.
Wonderful is my Redeemer, praise His name.

Psalms 107:8-9 KJV
Oh that men would praise the LORD for his
goodness, and for his wonderful works to
the children of men! For he satisfieth
the longing soul, and filleth the hungry
soul with goodness.

Isaiah 9:6 KJV

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son
is given: and the government shall be upon
his shoulder: and his name shall be called,
Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The
everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

1 John 2:1 KJV
My little children, these things write I
unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man
sin, we have an advocate with the Father,
Jesus Christ the righteousness.

Dorothy:
We have an advocate, a lawyer who is Jesus
Christ our Lord. The mediator and the
Intercessor, the "go between us and God"
and He speaks for us. May God bless you
to understand who Christ is for us today.

News from Dorothy!

The Two Oranges Story
I will be off from Fresh Manna for a few days. I am preparing myself for this Saturday, February 23 at the The Deaf Reinforcement at Rockford, Illinois. I would appreciate your prayer since I will be the main speaker for the morning. Please pray that we all open up to God's outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon all of the Deaf People.

I just need to share my deepest feeling. I wept. My heart and my spirit were broken. Why? I just felt overwhelmed about everything and memory came to me about the two oranges. It felt like God wanted to remind me something. I was in a meeting with the deaf ladies at Wisconsin retreat. The speaker was passing out oranges that she had bought at the store. She counted the oranges to be exact number for the ladies and they were to take one orange each.

I received one orange and put on the table. As I sat on the chair, prayed privately, "Lord, when will you reveal Yourself to the Deaf? When will the door be opened to the Intercessory Ministry? When will the Deaf realized what was really in Your HEART for them?" That moment, one orange fell off the box, and came rolling on the floor toward my side. And the Lord said, "Pick it up." So I picked up the orange. She had just finished passing out the oranges. I asked her if she needed this and if not, could I keep it? She was amazed and said that it was not possible to have an extra orange. She said that she counted twice to make sure and could not believe there was an extra orange. She said that I could keep it. The Lord knew.

I kept an extra orange and God spoke to my heart: "The first orange is you, the second orange is ME. In that day, I will come and revealed MYSELF to MY DEAF PEOPLE. It will be a glorious day of outpouring of the Holy Spirit among the Deaf. Pray that they will be opened inside of them and allow My Holy Spirit to dwell in them."

So the memory of oranges encouraged me not to give up and to continue to pray that God's desire was to reach the very heart of the Deaf and be filled with His presence.
May God touch your heart to be in much prayers.

Divine Healing - 10

Chorus:
Rise and be healed in the name of Jesus;
Let faith arise in your soul!
Rise and be healed in the name of Jesus;
He will make you every part whole!
Verse:
Have fear and doubt come your mind?
Has your faith been sorely tried?
Lift up your eyes; here cometh your help!
It is Jesus-- for you He has died!

Boldly approach God’s throne of grace to seek your healing.

Hebrews 4:16 NKJV
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help
in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16 NVC
Let us, the, feel very sure that we can come before
God’s throne where there is grace. There we can
receive mercy and grace to help us when we need it.

Be confident of your healing in Christ---don’t give up; don’t let go.

Hebrews 3:14 NKJV
We have become partakers of Christ if we hold the
beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end.
Hebrews 3:14 NCV
We all share in Christ if we keep till the end the sure
faith we had in the beginning.

Note from the commentary:
Jesus said, “Ask the Father in My name.” Even though you are
approaching God through His Son, it is still the Father you are
asking for the gift. And your request goes through the Son to the
Father. How is the gift returned? Let’s say your request is for
healing. God the Father…looks at God the Son and says, “Would
you please heal him?” Christ delivers the healing. Why? Because
that is the role of the administrator. The very word administrate
means to minister or to serve. So the Father releases the healing to
the Son, and the Son serves it to you. Can you picture yourself
reaching out to receive your healing and finding that somehow it
seems just out of your reach? . . . That’s where the work of Holy
Spirit enters the picture. He presents Himself to manifest the
healing provided by God and served by His Son. It is the Spirit
who completes the process of your healing.
Dorothy: May the Lord's Word healed you in Jesus’ name, Amen!

Divine Healing - 9

Song: The Healer
He was wounded for our transgressions:
He was bruised for our iniquities;
Surely He bore our sorrows,
And by His stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:4-5
KJV "Surely he hath bore our griefs, and
carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him
stricken, smitten of God and afflicted. But
he was wounded for our transgressions, he was
bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement
of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes
we are healed."
NCV "But he took our suffering on him and felt
our pain for us. We saw his suffering and thought
God was punishing him. But he was wounded for the
wrong we did; he was crushed for the evil we did.
The punishment, which made us well, was given to
him, and we are healed because of his wounds."

Dorothy:
My heart was touched when I read this scripture
about Jesus and what He did for us. Suddenly Holy
Spirit inspired me with a song, 'At the Cross.'
Song:
"At the cross, at the cross, where I first saw
the light, and the burden of my heart rolled away.
It was there by faith, I received my sight
and now I am happy all the day."

May the presence of God be real to you today,
and may Jesus appears to you and touch you
and be healed today, In Jesus name. Amen

Dictionary for song signs:

wounded=hurt; transgression=broken law or sins;
bruised=beaten; iniquities=sins; bore=patience or
carry; sorrows=grief or sorry; stripes=whip.

Divine Healing - 8

Song: I am healed by His stripes
I am healed,.. by His stripes,..
By the stripes that made
the blood so freely flow;...
Just as surely as I know,
I am saved forever more,
I am healed by the stripes
that Jesus bore.

God sees your need and will heal you.

"I have seen his ways, and will heal him;
I will also lead him,
And restore comforts to him
And to his mourners.
I create the fruit of lips:
Peace, peace to him who is far off and
to him who is near,"
Says the Lord, "And I will heal him."
Isaiah 57:18-19 NKJV

Your healing is speeding your way.

"Then your light shall break forth like the morning,
Your healing will spring forth speedily,
And your righteousness shall go before you;
The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
Isaiah 58:8 NKJV

Binny Hinn's story from devotion book:
I remember a lady who went to Katherine Kuhlman's
meetings eleven times before she was healed.
Eleven times! I asked one day, "Why did you keep
going back?" She said, "Because I knew. I knew my
day was coming, and I was going to go back until
God healed me. I was not giving up."

The reason many do not get healed is because they
give up so quickly. Remember, faith is vital (important)
and prayer of faith is important. You see, faith not
only prays, faith acts. Let me say quickly, that when
God heals, He imparts (give) faith necessary for the
healing... He gives us a measure of faith... God
imparts (gives) faith to those who need a healing
through His Spirit. So you don't have to struggle
or beg--just receive! The Bible says, "The prayer
of faith will save the sick."

Divine Healing - 7

Song: I Am the God That Healeth Thee
I am the God.. that healeth thee..
I am the Lord, your Healer...
I sent My word.. and healed your disease..
I am the Lord.. your Healer...

You are the God.. that healeth me..
You are the Lord., my Healer...
You sent Your word.. and healed my disease..
You are the Lord.. my Healer...

Sing, pray, and declare these truths from the Psalms:
Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak;
O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled.
Psalm 6:2
O LORD my God, I cried out to You, And You
healed me. Psalm 30:2
I said, "Lord, be merciful to me; Heal my soul,
for I have sinned against You." Ps. 41:4 NKJV
He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.
Psalm 103:3 NCV

A story
of a man who experienced a glorious healing
from colon cancer during the year of 1996. He talked
about how glorious it is to be touched by God's
miracle-working power, and to step from death into
life as health is restore by God's grace. He said
that he never fails to thank God each day for his
healing and to testify to others about God's healing
touch. He never takes his miracle or his health for
granted. He thanks God for health and healing for
today and every day.
Commentary:
If you have received a miracle, remember to give God the
glory. This is an important weapon against the enemy. We
are healed because of God's grace, not because we are
something important. Never fail to give Him thanks.
Dorothy: I would like for us to remember Scott Hobbs in
our daily prayer because his health is going down and he
is losing strength. Rev. Lene Hobbs is the pastor of the
Deaf Church in the east area. Keep him on your prayer
list until we hear of God's greatest miracle for Scott
Hobbs. Thank you in Jesus' name, be healed. Amen!

Divine Healing - 6

Song: Calvary Covers It All
Calvary covers it all,
My past with its sin and stain;
My guilt and despair
Jesus took on Him there,
And Calvary covers it all.

In Christ's blood, there is healing power.

"In Him we have redemption through His
blood, the forgiveness of sins, according
to the riches of His grace. Ephesians 1:7

Every curse, including sickness has been
broken by Christ.
"Christ has redeemed us
from the curse of the law, having become a
curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is
everyone who hangs on a tree")". Gal.3:13

Dorothy:
What I do with Fresh Manna after I am done? I
go back and sign the verses slowly, and allow
the Word to become my healing. John 15 reminds
me that a branch cannot produce fruit ALONE
but must remain in the vine. In the same way,
you cannot produce fruit ALONE but must remain
in Jesus and His word. Jesus is the vine and we
are the branches. If we quote His word and His
Word stays inside of us, we will produce much
fruit. Without Jesus, without His Word in you
and me, we have nothing to work with to bring
healing for our bodies. Jesus said, "...abideth
in me, and I in him, the same bringeth
forth much fruit: without me ye
can do nothing." John 15:5b KJV

Prayer: Holy Spirit, help me ask the Father in
heaven what exact words do I ask? The only way
I can do this is to allow you to speak in another
language so you can ask the Father exactly what
my needs are. Thank you in Jesus' name. Amen.

Divine Healing - 5

Song: In the Name of Jesus
In the name of Jesus
In the name of Jesus
We have the victory
In the name of Jesus
In the name of Jesus
Demons will have to flee
Who can tell what God can do
Who can tell of His love for you
In the name of Jesus, Jesus
We have the victory.

Resist the devil's attacks on your health

James 4:7,8 NCV
So give yourselves completely to God. Stand against
the devil, and the devil will run from you. Come
near to God, and God will come near to you.
James 1:17 NCV
Every good action and every perfect gift is
from God. These good gifts come down from
the Creator of the sun, moon, and stars, who
does not change like their shifting shadows.
James 5:16 NCV
Confess your sins to each other and pray
for each other so God can heal you. When a
believing person prays, great things happen.

Inspired to pray:
Father in heaven, thank You for reminding me
that "The blood of Jesus cleansed us from all
unrighteousness" and "He is faithful to forgive
all of our sins" through Jesus' Name. Amen!

Dorothy:
The Lord is great. The Lord is merciful. May we
trust every word of God and let the Word digest
into our soul and let the healing continues in
us and through us. Never give up hope that His
Word meant what He says. Holy Spirit knows just
what we need to hear especially the song this
morning, "In the name of Jesus, in the name of
Jesus, we have the victory." This is an act of
faith that we have the victory in Christ. May
the LORD touch you and bless you today.

Divine Healing - 4

Song:
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
Sweetest name I know
Fill my every longing,
Keep me singing as I go.

Jesus heals the brokenhearted.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed.
Luke 4:18 NKJV

Why Jesus still heals today:
1. Jesus heals because He has compassion.
Because of what He endured on the cross, the Lord
fully understands the pain and suffering we experience.
2. Jesus heals to bring glory to His father.
Christ knew the source of His power and continually
reminded people that He had come to do the work of His Father.
3. Jesus heals to fulfill the Father's promise.
The miracles of Christ... are the fulfillment of God's
promises spoken through His prophets to us His people.
4. Healing belongs to His children.
God heals without respect of persons. He heals anyone.
5. Healing demonstrates the power of God.
People saw the power of God through Jesus' action of healing.
6. Healing demonstrates the power of His blood.
Christ's death on the cross was not only for your salvation,
but for your healing.
7. Jesus heals to destroy the works of the devil.

Every time someone is healed, Satan loses his battle.

Jesus is anointed to heal you.
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with
power, who went about doing good and healing all who were
oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38

Divine Healing - 3

Song: Victory is Mine
Victory is mine, victory is mine,
Victory, today is mine.
I told Satan, get thee behind,
Victory, today is mine.

Healing is mine, healing is mine,
healing, today is mine.
I told Satan, get thee behind,
Healing, today is mine.

Jesus is mine, Jesus is mine,
Jesus, today is mine.
I told Satan, get thee behind,
Jesus, today is mine.

Let God fight your battle for you and
defeat the attack of illness.

"The LORD is my strength and song, and He
has become my salvation [healing]; He is
My God, and I will praise Him; my father's
God, and I will exalt Him. The LORD is a
man of war; the LORD is His name".
Exodus 15:2-3 NKJV

Summary Commentary:

John 3:14 NKJV "As Moses lifted up the serpent
in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be
lifted up". God commanded Moses to make a bronze
serpent and place it on a pole. Serpents had bitten
the people in the wilderness, and many of them were
dying. God told Moses that if the people would LOOK
upon the bronze serpent, they would live. The word
"looketh" means faith. Those who LOOK believe for a
healing. Whoever believes that Jesus came and died,
and is the Savior and the Healer, will be healed.
Whoever LOOKS UP to the Lord Jesus on the cross with
eyes of faith will find wholeness.

Dorothy:
I was thrilled when Holy Spirit brought up the "Victory"
song because it had been awhile. We need Holy Spirit to
be our daily friend and keep in contact with all of us.

Divine Healing - 2

Song: He Is My Everything
He is my everything, He is my all.
He is my everything, great or small.
He gave His life for me, made everything anew.
He is my everything, Jesus, I love you.

Be sanctified totally through God's healing Spirit.

"May the God of peace Himself sanctify you
completely; and may your whole spirit, soul,
and body be preserved blameless at the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ."I Thessalonians 5:23

By Christ's stripes, you are healed.

"Surely He has borne our griefs Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement of our peace was upon Him;
And by His stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:4-5 NKJV

Dorothy: What this means to me?

It means that I am not to give up hope of healing
for my body. I remind myself how many times Christ
took the lashes, 351 stripes. How? On one whip had
nine lashes plus 39 times Christ had been beaten with
a total of 351 stripes just for me and just for you.
Each time I take the communion (cracker and grape
juice) at home, when I remember Jesus receiving 351
lashes from 39 stripes, I claim them for my healing.

"By His stripes we are healed," gives me new
strength in my body, and stronger faith in His
Word. The Word of God means what He says.
I need to believe this. Don't you?

Divine Healing - 1

Song: One Touch
There's healing.. in the name.. of Jesus,
healing..in the touch.. of Jesus; One touch..
of His hand.. will lift you, bo-dy, mind, and soul...
Believe Him.. that His power.. will free you; Praise
Him.. for His mer-cies toward you; Thank Him.. for
His love..; He longs to make you fully whole...
Just One touch.. of the Mas-ter's hand, just one
word.., He has full.. command; Have faith.. in
what He wants.. to do is all He asks of you...
There's healing.. in the name.. of Jesus, healing..
in the touch.. of Jesus; One touch.. of His
Mas-ter's hand... will make you fully whole....

Dorothy:
Just visualize that Jesus is here right now
laid His hand where you hurt the most. Mine
at the lower back. He has healed you, healed
your pains, healed your sufferings and healed
your agony all over your bodies, in Jesus' name.

Jesus is coming to lay hands on you for your healing.

"When the sun was setting, all those who had any that
were sick with various diseases brought them to Him;
and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed
them" (Luke 4:40).
Touch Jesus and be made well.
"Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or
the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces,
and begged Him that they might just touch the hem
of His garment. And as many as touched Him were
made well" (Mark 6:56).

Note from "the Miracle of Healing" Benny Hinn
Often in our crusades, I'll tell people to touch the
part of their body that they want God to heal. I'll
encourage them to begin moving their afflicted arms
or bending their hurting legs. These actions do
nothing in themselves, but they do demonstrate (show)
that the person has faith in God's healing power. And
in the Scriptures you see again and again that when
the Lord Jesus healed the sick He asked them to do
something before the miracle took place.

Songs about Jesus

Jesus is the sweetest name I know
And He's just the same, As His lovely name
And that's the reason why I love Him so
For Jesus is the sweetest name I know.

Jesus is the One, Yes, He's the only One;
Let Him have His way until the day is done.
When He speaks you know,
dark clouds will have to go,
Just because He loves you so.

My Jesus, I love Thee, I love Thee, I do;
My Jesus, I love Thee, I love Thee, I do;
Thy beauty enthralls me,
They love has filled my soul:
My Jesus, I love Thee, I love Thee, I do.

Sweet Jesus, Sweet Jesus, What a wonder you are,
You're brighter than the morning star;
You're fairer, much fairer,
Than the lily that grows by the wayside,
Precious, more precious than gold.
You're like the rose of Sharon,
You're the fairest of the fair,
you are all my heart could ever desire;
Sweet Jesus, sweet Jesus, What a wonder you are,
You're precious, more precious than gold.

Oh,it is Jesus, Yes, it is Jesus;
Oh it is Jesus in my soul.
For I have touched the hem of His garment,
And His blood has made me whole.
Oh, I will praise Him, Yes, I will praise Him,
Oh, I will praise Him in my soul.
For I have touched the hem of His garment,
And His blood has made me whole.

Jesus is all the world to me,
my life, my joy, my all.
He gives me strength from day to day
Without Him I would fall.
When I am sad to him I go
No other one can feel me so
When I am sad.... He makes me glad,
He's... my... friend....

Communion Song

Dorothy:
I just had communion at 4 a.m. this early morning. Why?
Because I want to remind myself through my eyes of faith
on the cross of Jesus and claimed the blood of Jesus and
the healing power for my body. Jesus said, "Do this in
remembrance of Me." We have communion often so
we would not forget His promises.

Many times Tony and I would sense "wilderness" experience
and often we felt uneasy (not comfortable with blank
feelings) and often we wondered why we are here. There
are time we felt so "quiet" and we were not used to it,
so we have communion with a communion song to remember
Jesus' word, "Remember Me". His Word assured us that we
are still His children and it was His plan for us to be
here in Bloomington, Illinois.

I thought you would like to see the Communion Song that
Tony and I used it often just to hold on to His Word,
"Remember Me". There may be times you might go through
the "dark time" or "wilderness experience", I encourage
you to try the communion and the song. The song uplift
us and peace follow through when we remember His Covenant.
We choose one of two songs at each communion.

COMMUNION SONG
1. Take this bread I give to you, and as you do, remember Me.
This bread is my body--broken just for you.
Take it, eat it, each time you do; remember Me, remember Me.
2. Take this cup I fill for you, and as you do, remember Me.
This cup is the new covenant I'm making with you.
Take it, drink it, each time you do, remember Me, remember Me.
3. Take this love I've given you, and as you do, remember Me.
(Word and music by Barry McGuire)

WE REMEMBER YOU

As we drink this cup, we worship You;
As we eat this bread, we honor You;
And we offer You our lives as You have offered Yours for us.
We remember all You've done for us,--
We remember Your covenant with us,--
We remember, and worship You, O-- Lord.----

Perfect Praise!

Psalm 8:2 niv
From the lips of children and infants You
have ordained praise because of your
enemies to silence the foe and avenger.

Amplified Psalm 8:2
Out of the mouths of babes and unweaned
infants You have established strength
because of Your foes, that You might
silence the enemy and the avenger.
[Matt. 21:15,16.]

Dorothy:
Jesus quoted from Psalm 8:2 and interpreted
this: Out of the mouths of babes and unweaned
infants You have made perfect praise.

When I got up in the morning I started to sing,
"I just want to praise the name of the Lord,
I just want to sing unto the Lord. I just want
to praise the name of the Lord, I just want to
sing unto the Lord".

Then question came to me:
Why does the Holy Spirit urges me to sing a
song of praises when I just got up in the
morning? He reminded me that singing put enemies
to silence or to be quiet and not to disturb us.
You might want to read Matthew 21:1-16 about the
chief priests and the scribes who complained
against Jesus about children singing praises to
Him and they wanted Jesus to silence them. If He
silent the children, then the rock will praise
Him, anyway. So let's praise Him through songs or
even just quote from the book of Psalms!

So let's pray:
Heavenly, Father, may the Holy Spirit reminds us today
that "Perfect praise will put enemies to silence"! Thank
you for the wonderful Word of God as a reminder to keep
in touch with You. Thank You for Holy Spirit who helps
us day by day. Truly He is a friend! In Jesus' Name!
Amen! Reprint from Dec. 2007

My Commandment

Song: This Is My Commandment
This is my commandment that ye love
one another that your joy may be full.
This is my commandment that ye love
one another that your joy may be full.
That your joy may be full, that your
joy may be full.
This is my commandment that ye love
one another that your joy may be full.

1 John 4:12

If we love one another, God lives in us
and His love is made complete in us.

Dorothy:
When we love one another, can you imagine
that God lives inside of us? Is it hard
to imagine that a big God, the great
Creator of the heavens and earth, could
just simply come down and lives inside
of us? Think about this as you worship
God and put His hand on your cheek and
hold you so very close. It should melt
your heart how much He loves us.
Have a good day!

He's Coming Soon

Song:
He's coming soon, he's coming soon,
With joy we'll welcome His returning
It may be morn, it may be night or noon,
We know He is coming soon.

Colossians 3:4 KJV
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear,
then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
I John 2:28 KJV
And now, LITTLE CHILDREN, abide in him; that,
when he shall appear, we may have confidence,
and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
I John 3:2b,3 NVC
But we know that when Christ comes again, we
will be like him, because we will see him as
he really is. Christ is pure, and all who have
this hope in Christ keep themselves pure like
Christ.

Another old song: We Shall See The King

We shall see the King, we shall see the King,
We shall see the King when He comes.
He is coming in power, we'll hail the blessed hour,
We shall see the King when He comes.

Dorothy:
Tony was telling me story about the old days when there's
a great revival, Christian people would look forward for
His coming soon and there would be excitement in the air.
There would be lots of song about His coming back and
I pray that our spirits stay in tune with Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit is the One that will get us ready for His
coming. One of the way to keep us in hope is for
Christians to encourage one another and remind each
other that He is coming soon. Keep our light burning
for Him.

Prayer song:
Lord, keep me shining for thee, keep me shining for thee,
In the world wrap in night, keep me pure, keep me white,
Lord, keep me shining for thee, keep me shining for thee,
until I behold thy face.

Little Children - 5

I John 2:1,12,13b; 3:18; 4:4; 5:21 KJV
"My LITTLE CHILDREN, these things write I unto you, that
ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with
the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. I write unto you,
LITTLE CHILDREN, because your sins are forgiven you for
his name's sake. I write unto you, LITTLE CHILDREN, because
you have known the Father. My LITTLE CHILDREN, let us not
love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
Ye are of God, LITTLE CHILDREN, and have overcome them:
because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in
the world. LITTLE CHILDREN, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Dorothy's summary,
notes from William Barclay:
John, the author of First John was written in Ephesus a
little after A.D. 100. Many were now second or third
generation Christians. John was writing at a time when,
for some at least, the first thrill was gone and the
flame of devotion had died to a 'flicker' as prophecy
in Matthew 24:12, "Most men's love will grow cold."
What cause this? John had warned that "Many false
prophets have gone out into the world" (I John 4:1).
"My little children" was the concern to his "sheep"
of his churches. John was a very caring pastor and he
had tenderness for those who are his "little children"
in faith. John insisted all over his letters that the
true test of Christianity was love for the brethren.
There were "false prophets" who tried to destroy that
kind of love fellowship among Christians. John taught
his "little children" the important of the commandment
that those who loves God must love his brother also.
John's letters teaches us about Christ and who He is.
As a pastor, it was John's desire "to bring men closer
to one another and closer to God." John's greatest
Christian message can be summed up as having two
great aims--love for men and love for God.

Children's Hymns, "My Jesus, I Love Thee"
My Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine;
For thee all the follies of sin I resign;
My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou;
If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, 'tis now.

Little Children - 4

Galatians 4:19
KJV (Paul said,) "My little children of whom I
travail in birth again until Christ be formed
in you."
NCV "My little children again I feel the pain
of childbirth for you until you truly become
like Christ."

Dorothy:
Why did Paul called Galatians people, "My little
children"? Because they had just been born again
and Paul taught them many things so they could
grow in the grace of God. Galatians Christian had
many problems. Paul explained that when he prayed,
he would "suffer" like the feeling of "a mother"
who was going through the agony of pain again.

What did Paul meant "again"? Before He had prayed for
the people to be saved in Christ. Now Paul prayed for
Galatians people as "a baby Christian" to grow and
become mature and to learn to know the difference
between right and wrong things to do.

What does this applies to us?

Paul prayed the same prayers for us to become mature in
Christ and be able to do the ministry He has called us to
do. We are already intercessors and all we need to do is
to "pray for others" and the goal is we all grow in Christ.

Prayer song:
Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me,
All His wonderful passion and purity;
Oh, Thou Spirit divine, All my nature refine
Till the beauty of Jesus be seen in me.

Refine= be changed for better

Little Children - 3

Song: Jesus Loves Me
Jesus loves me! this I know, For the Bible tells me so;
Little ones to Him belong; They are weak, but He is strong.
Chorus:
Yes, Jesus loves me; Yes, Jesus loves me;
Yes, Jesus loves me; The Bible tells me so.

2. Jesus loves me! He who died, Heaven's gate to open wide;
He will wash away my sin. Let His little child come in.
3. Jesus loves me! He will stay Close beside me all the way;
If I love him, when I die He will take me home on high.

Matthew 18:5,6,10 NVC
Whoever accepts a child in my name accepts me. If one of
these little children believes in me, and someone causes
that child to sin, it would be better for that person to
have a large stone tied around the neck and be drowned in
the sea. Be careful. Don't think these little children are
worth nothing. I tell you that they have angels in heaven
who are always with my Father in heaven.

Dorothy:

There are two meanings of "a child." One that is actually
a child in the flesh while another meaning is a person who
just accepts Christ and is like a little child spiritually
or not mature in the Lord. Jesus cares very much for the
children and He even warns about hurting the child. A baby
and a child are very tender and very innocent. It would anger
Christ if someone offend or cause to hurt them. He even went
on to say that if anyone who hurt a child, would be better off
"dead" and not live at all. There is judgment against anyone
who would ever try to hurt others. His word of warning should
make us pray daily to watch what we say to others.

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, we ask You to help us to practice Psalm
141:3, "Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of
my lips." KJV and NCV "Lord, help me, control my tongue; help me
be careful about what I say." Help me not to judge others as
Matthew 7:1 reminds me not to judge. "Lord, I give myself unto
prayer." (Ps. 109:4b). Fill me again with Thy Holy Spirit that
I may not sin against Thee in Jesus' name I pray. Amen!
(Ps. 119:11b)

Little Children - 2

Song: God's Children
Praise Him, Praise Him, All of God's children
God is love, God is love.
Love Him, Love Him, All of God's children
God is love, God is love.
Thank Him, Thank Him, All of God's children
God is love, God is love.
Praise Him, praise Him, All of God's Children
God is love, God is love.

Matthew 18:1-5 NVC "Who Is The Greatest?"

At that time the followers came to Jesus and asked,
"Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"
Jesus called a little child to him and stood the
child before His followers. Then He said, "I tell
you the truth, you must change and become like little
children. Otherwise, you will never enter the kingdom
of heaven. The greatest person in the kingdom of heaven
is the one who makes himself humble like this child.
Whoever accepts a child in my name accepts me.

Dorothy:
Do you ever wonder about where and how did the question,
"Who is the greatest" started? The disciples had competed
each other about who would be greatest in God's kingdom.
Can you imagine that? They knew who Jesus was and they
believed Him that He would be a King someday. So what they
competed about was who would be chosen to be the greatest
in God's kingdom. Jesus saw this in disciples' hearts that
want to be the greatest in the kingdom of God. It is natural
for men like disciples to compete each other. I wonder how
Jesus had to "solve this competition's spirits" among his
disciples. Matthew 18:1-5 explains how Jesus said that they
need to become like a little child in attitude, and not to compete
with each other. Jesus actually warned them that they could not
enter heaven if they do not humble themselves like this child.
What does this applies to us?
In the Deaf Church, I pray that God help us not to have a
spirit of "seeking someone better to talk to" than others.
Study yourself, how do you react to others? Join the 'smart
group' and leave out the others who do not 'talk much'? Be like
a child who loves and hug everyone and it doesn't matter who.
What should I say? Just tell them that God loves them so much
and He cares for them. Just bless them. This will uplift them.
May God touch your heart to love everyone like a child do.

Little Children - 1

Song: Jesus Loves Little Children
Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world
Red, yellow, black and white
They are precious in His sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world.

Matthew 19:13-15 Jesus Welcomes Children
NVC-Then the people brought their little children
to Jesus so he could put his hands on them and
pray for them. His followers told them to stop,
but Jesus said, "Let the little children come to
me. Don't stop them, because the kingdom of heaven
belongs to people who are like these children. After
Jesus put his hands on the children, he left there."

Mark 10:13-16
Jesus Accepts Children
NVC-Some people brought their little children to Jesus so
he could touch them, but his followers told them to stop.
When Jesus saw this, he was upset and said to them, "Let
the little children come to me. Don't stop them, because
the kingdom of God belongs to people who are like these
children. I tell you the truth, you must accept the
kingdom of God as if you were a little child, or you
will never enter it." Then Jesus took the children in
his arms, put his hands on them, and blessed them.

Luke 18:15-17 Who Will Enter God's Kingdom?
NVC-Some people brought even their babies to Jesus so
He could touch them. When the followers saw this, they
told them to stop. But Jesus called for the children,
saying, "Let the little children come to me. Don't stop
them, because kingdom of God belongs to people who are
like these children. I tell you the truth, you must
accept the kingdom of God as if you were a child, or
you will never enter it."
Dorothy:
To be like a child are: love, hug, playful,
joyful, laughing, smiling, caring, trusting, etc. Jesus
wants to remind disciples that the kind of people that goes
to heaven, are the kind of people as if they were a child.
Prayer: Lord, I pray that the word of God reminds us to
stay in complete trust in You like a child who trust their
parent completely. Let the word of Jesus saturated our
hearts and minds to remember this. In Jesus' name. Amen
