The Lord Shall Open

Deuteronomy 28:12a - The Bread Card Verse:
The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure.

NCV: The Lord will open up his heavenly storehouse so that the skies send rain on your land at the right time, and he will bless everything you do.

NIRV: The Lord will open up the heavens. That's where he stores his riches. He will send rain on your land at just the right time. He'll bless everything you do.

What was the last thing Jesus did before He went to heaven? Jesus lifted up his hands, and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them. He was taken up to heaven. Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy (Luke24:50-52).

What impressed me was the word “blessing” that has several meanings:
1. A divine gift causing our work to succeed. Who will bless us?
2. God’s presence with us. What will God do?
3. God giving us strength, power, and help. How will God do that?
4. God working in and through us to produce our works.
 I just thought of a song called, Showers of Blessing.So let's sing!

Song: Showers of Blessings.
There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.
Chorus:
Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need;
Mercy drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.
(Daniel Webster Whittle, Sing His Praise)

So let's keep our eyes on Jesus for His blessing on our daily lives.
