Reconcile 12/5-7

2 Corinthians 5:19, NCV "God was in Christ, making peace between the world and Himself. In Christ, God did not hold the world guilty of its sins. And He gave us this message of peace."

The message was about "reconcile" and NCV translate the meaning of the word reconcile to making peace or message of peace. I believe it is important to know about the reconcile and I will used Amplified for reading. 2 Cor. 5:17 has been my favorite verse. Holy Spirit often quote this to me whenever we were tempted to talk about the "old past." He reminded us that today is a new day, not yesterday. God's mercy is new every morning.

Reading from Amplified Bible 2 Corinthians 5:17-21:
17) Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!
18) But all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with Him].
19) It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor).
20) So we are Christ's ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ's personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God.
21) For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].

Inspiration:  The word reconcile has been on my heart for a very long time. I have written in my journals, but I was not able to write it clearly for Manna until I saw this in Amplified reading.

There is one illustration or picture of what this reconciled really mean. At the cross, Jesus held out His right Hand to the Father and Jesus held out His left Hand to the world, and that is reconciled by restoring the relationship between the world and the Father. Christ has reconciled the Father to the world so now it is up to the world to accept Christ as their Savior who has already forgave sins that was done at the cross.

This is deep, but I just got to share this with you. So now our job is a ministry of reconciliation. It means that our job is to pray that we would bring the people to understand that God has already reconciled them to Him if they just realized this and accept Christ as their personal Savior.

At Christmas time, when you see many pictures of Mary holding the baby Jesus in her arms, that is a message that God has already provided the reconciliation to the world because the baby Jesus was in the world.

What does this mean to me? My heart was overflowing with this knowledge of His Word of wisdom. I trust the Holy Spirit to open our mind to understand His Word of reconciliation. It took me a long time to to grasp this and it is worth growing into this knowledge of Christ.

May the Lord bless you and believe that God gave us the message of peace!
