Ordain Peace 12/2

Isaiah 26:12, KJV
"Lord, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us."

AMP: "Lord, You will ordain peace (God's favor and blessings, both temporal and spiritual) for us, for You have also wrought in us and for us all our works."
NKJV: "Lord, You will establish peace for us, for You have also done all our works in us."

We see wars over and over again and many are restless and are not turning to God. So where is the promised peace? The Scripture tells us that true peace comes only from the Lord. Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" John 14:27.

Jesus taught the principles (rules) of peace, calling for people to love their neighbors as they love themselves. Paul encourages us in Romans 12:18, "As much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men."

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the verse that You have taught us that only You ordain peace. We ask You to teach us to depend on You to bring peace inside of us so we could be at peace with our neighbors. Help us to experience peace with You so we could share Your peace with others. Let our lives reflect the Prince of Peace which is Jesus Christ. It is through Christ's peace that we can bring others to Jesus. We thank You for that in Jesus' name. Amen!
