"Whoever follow Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
KJV: "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he (whoever) that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."
The key word here is 'followeth.' Three letters: eth means to 'keep on' following. From the technology dictionary, I choose one meaning: to work in or at something as a business or way of life. Jesus promised that you will not walk in darkness, but shall have the light which is the way of life.
Jesus does not intend to leave us in darkness, the gloomy side by looking on the dark side which is not bright or cheerful. Jesus does not intend for us to be ignorance when we see or hear about "chaos world" [complete confusion]. Jesus has taught us through His Word to be prepared and to keep on living in the light of life which is Jesus Christ, Himself.
Prayer: Thank You, Heavenly Father for giving us the Word of encouragement to keep on following Jesus as the light of the world. Thank You for showing us Your Word why many things will happen before Jesus comes again. Remind us to turn our eyes upon Jesus as the light of the world. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen!
