What did Jesus meant when He said to learn something from Him? We could find answer from Philippians 2:5-7 “Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God. He made himself nothing; he took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form” (NLT).
Jesus Christ was humble, willing to give up his right in order to obey God and serve people. Like Christ, let us be willing to have a servant’s attitude, serving out of love for God and for others. We can choose our attitude. We can look for opportunities to serve others. Jesus said, “For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others” (Mark 10:45 NLT).
Song: If You Would Be
Great
If you would be great in God’s kingdom,
then learn to be
servant of all.
If you want to be great in God’s kingdom
then learn to be
servant of all.
Learn to be servant of all;
Learn to be servant of all.
I’ll open up a river when thou art a giver
and learn to be
servant of all.
(Song collection, author unknown)
May the Lord bless you!
