Strength - 7

Song: Worship the King
Worship the King, praise Him and sing,
Jesus, the Lamb upon the Throne,
Glorious His name, Ever the same,
No one is God and King, but Jesus alone,
Bright morning star, Ancient of Days,
Worthy of glory, Worship and praise,
Worship the King…. [Repeat]
[Song collection out of memory]

Verses for the Day: 1 Chron. 16:11-14

Theme: SEEK THE LORD AND HIS STRENGTH.
KJV: Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually. Remember his marvelous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; O ye seed of Jacob, his chosen ones. He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth [as in Egypt].
NCV: Depend on the Lord and his strength; always go to him for help. Remember the miracles he has done, his wonders, and his decisions. You are the descendants of his servant, Israel; you are the children of Jacob, his chosen people. He is the Lord our God. His laws are for all the world.

1 Chronicles 16:27, 29b
KJV: Glory and honor are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place. V29b … worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
NCV: Worship the Lord because he is holy.

Dorothy: Reading from 1 Chronicles 15 through 17.
Through the instruction, the Levites used special poles to carry the Ark of God on their shoulders, as Moses had commanded. They brought the Ark of God into Jerusalem and put it inside the tent that David had set up for it. There was a great rejoicing and celebrating time. David appointed some of the Levites to serve before the Ark of the Lord. They had the job of leading the worship and giving thanks and praising the Lord, the God of Israel. That day David first gave Asaph and his relatives the job of singing praises to the Lord. David had given psalm of gratitude or thanks [1 Chronicles 16:8-36].

Several days ago, I wrote in my Journal about 1 Chronicles 16:11 “Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually,” I had wondered what song would go with it? This morning Holy Spirit led me to sing the song on “Worship the King” and it touched my heart. I realized that God wanted my song of worship and praise so I took the time to sing that song I wrote above from memory. Reading God’s Word is part of depending on Him. His Word gives me strength.

What does this means to me?

Awesome that I learn who God really is. This is what seeking the Lord and His Scripture is all about. What is God’s goal for you? Seek Him and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart. God bless you today.
