Character
building Endures Temptations.
James
1:12 “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation . . .” (KJV).
What
does that verse really means? Here’s NIV verse: “Blessed is the one who perseveres (to keep at
something in spite of difficulties, opposition, or discouragement) under trial
because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that
the Lord has promised to them who love Him” (James 1:12).
In
my own word: “Blessed are you that bear patiently and to withstand the trials.”
The word blessed means to make successful or happy. In another word: “You are
successful when you patiently withstand the trials.” Or “You are happy when you
patiently withstand the trials.” Why
should we be happy? Because God promised rewards for endurance and putting up
things that seems to be bothersome.
So
building a character is to endure all things that comes our way. Revelation 21:7 quoted, “He (you) that
overcomes shall inherit all things . . .”
To overcome means to gain victory
over some things.
Song: Faith is a Victory
Faith
is a victory,
Faith
is a victory,
Oh,
glorious victory
That
overcomes the world.

God
bless you!
