Continue in His Word

John 8:31b KJV
"If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples." NLT: Jesus said to the people who believed in Him, "You are My disciples if you keep obeying my teachings."

You know, it is not enough to live by past faith or experience. Like a person would say, "I have more experience so he/she tells his/her story of "glorious past." To quote and say: "I have more experience" is like a person is bragging that she/he is better than those who may not have much experience.

Listen to this: Jesus emphasizes that we are to continue in His Word and that we are truly His children. That is our present salvation in Christ who died for us. That is our continued testimony that we are His. True and honest born-again believers continue with the Words of Christ. So let us practice His word. Let us meditate His word. Let us think over His Word carefully. Let us feed on His word. Let us feast on His word. Let us live in His word that we may be healed in Jesus' name.

So continue in Jesus' Word today!

Dorothy

PS. I like that song which Christine Mitchell sang at Winnipeg, Canada Calvary Temple. It touched my heart.

Walk in the Light
Walk in the Light
Follow my Saviour
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Never let me go

Satan you out!
Push back, push back
Farther, farther
Push back, push back
Farther, farther

You are More Value

Theme: YOU ARE MORE VALUE. (Value means something worth and more importance in comparison with something else).

Matthew 10: 29-31 KJV
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside (without) your Father’s care. 30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Amplified Bible: Are not two little sparrows sold for a penny? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father's leave (consent) and notice. But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, then; you are of more value than many sparrows.

New Living Translation: Not even a sparrow, worth only half a penny, can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are more valuable to HIM than a whole flock of sparrows.

Only Jesus would have known how our Heavenly Father knows the number of our head! Awesome! No one in the whole world could really count our hairs. Point? He cares what happened to you and your family!

You are more value than sparrows! Jesus teaches that we are of great worth to our Heavenly Father. God values us and your needs. He desires our love and fellowship so much that He sent Jesus to die on the cross for us. We are never away from His presence, His care, and His concern. Believe this! He knows all our needs, trials, and sorrows. Believe this!

You are so important to God that He treasures your faithfulness, love, and loyalty to Himself above all earthly things. Your strong faith in Christ, proved real in the middle of trials and trouble and you are His glory and honor.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are awesome! We love You for caring that much for us. Thank You for reminding us that You are there for us. Wow! You know how many hairs in our heads! That many of us? Even millions? Wow! You do! Awesome Father! Right now! We are asking You for healing power in our bodies. You know what wrong with our aching bodies. Some of our friends and families are fallen and we need You to lift them up and heal them completely in Jesus' name. By Your Word is power and healing flows into their bodies right now in Jesus' name! I pray, Amen and Amen! Feeling the healing power of God and be healed! Let the word spoken become alive and activated in power of Holy Spirit through Jesus' name. Let the blood of Jesus flows into our bodies right now in Jesus' name and cleanse us from all unrighteousness spiritually and physically. Praise the Lord and we trust You Heavenly Father for answered our prayers today!

Broken Heart

Psalm 147:3, KJV
"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."

God has words for those whose heart are broken. The word, broken means shattered to pieces like a broken glass. Brokeness is precious to the Lord. It is humbly, it hurts, and a deep sufferings. The brokeness is something that brings us so very close to God's heart. His presence becomes real just as if a fallen bird attracted His attention. His heart is touched and His hands would lift up a fallen bird. Scripture proof? Yes! Jesus mentioned that "not one of the birds fall without Heavenly Father knows about it." (Where? I dunno. I remember well) My point? Picture God's hand lifting you up and put close to His heart. I love this. Thank you Holy Spirit!

Wound heart might be another subject of "aching heart." The word, wound means to hurt by cutting and also an injury to a person's feeling. While broken heart might be something like "hit very hard" or "something we love very much and we lost that closeness" or "something we used to have now no longer there." Only God could heals and bind up! Let Him do that job.

I remember that experience very well at Deaf School when I was 17 years old. I went to the bathroom privately with an aching heart, and I waited on Jesus. After few minutes I felt Jesus' hands fold my heart and my heart became peaceful. I came out looking peaceful and my roommate notice the glow on my face. That's what Jesus did, He healed my aching heart. Believe that He can do the same for you.

So trust God today!

Dorothy

PS. Took me 2 days, June 8-9, 2011 to get this Bread Box done. I took the card verse with me and was working on it partly. Then this morning I complete it while waiting for Tony to get his blood test. Thank you for your patience.

If You Want to be Great!

Song: If You Would (want) Be Great!
If you would (want) be great in God's Kingdom,
then learn to be servant of all,
If you would (want) be great in God's kingdom,
then learn to be servant of all.
Learn to be servant of all;
Learn to be servant of all.
I'll open up a river
when thou (you) are a giver
and learn to be servant of all.
(Author unknown)

Theme: Greatest Among You Shall be Your Servant.
Matthew 23:11
KJV: But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.
AMP: He who is greatest among you shall be your servant.
NCV: Whoever is your servant is the greatest among you.

Mark 10:42-45
NCV: Jesus called them together and said, "The non-Jewish people have rulers. You know that those rulers love to show their power over the people, and their important leaders love to use all their authority. But it should not be that way among you. Whoever wants to become great among you must serve the rest of you like a servant. Whoever wants to become the first among you must serve all of you like a slave. In the same way, the Son of Man did not come to be served. He came to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many people."

Dorothy: While I was working at Taco Bell [part-time], a short song came to me on Friday. "If you want to be great in God's Kingdom, then learn to be servant of all."I considered myself a servant at Taco Bell that needs help with things. So what is the meaning of the word, servant? Person employed by another: Policemen and firemen are public servants. Person devoted to any service: Ministers are called the servants of God.

In my old high school dictionary, I looked up "serve" for more examples. I picked a few to give us an idea of what a servant does. Serve means to help; be useful; be what is needed. Service means helpful acts; aid; conduct that is useful to others. What Jesus was saying to His disciples about how to a become servant was to be useful and helpful to others. Jesus was useful and helpful to others through God's Word, through healing touch and other things. Like the song interpret: If you want to be a great person, then learn how to become useful to others. God would open up a river that flows from inside of you because you already start giving yourself to others. This is what God's kingdom is all about, serving others.

Keep trusting God!

Heed The Word

Good morning! 44 years Tony and I have been married today! Smile!

June 3 2011 Bread Box

Proverbs 16:20 NKJV
"He (we) who heeds the word wisely will find good, and whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he (are we)."

What happen when we don't tried to find good words to speak? Naturally, unwise words might bring to hurt or confusion. The words that we speak either bring life or death. Life means bring good words that makes us happy. Death means the word that kill, destroy and steal joy that doesn't make us happy. The words that we speak either bring positive thought and brings health to our bones or negative thought destroys good feelings.

If we are careful with words and use them wisely, our pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones (Proverbs 16:24).

Let us pray for our hearts with wisdom that teaches our mouth to speak kind words one to another.

Dear Heavenly Father, I ask You to forgive me when I hurt someone with my careless thoughts and spoke it out that has hurt others. Teach me to think kind words and help me to be careful what to say. I thank You for Your help through the power the Holy Spirit in Jesus' name amen!

Let us trust God today for joy comes in trusting Him!

God Almighty

Psalm 91:14
"Because he (you) loves Me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him (you), for he (you) acknowledges My name." Other translation.

Key: Because you have known My name.

God revealed himself as El Shadday, God Almighty, to Abram and told him of the everlasting covenant he (God) was establishing with him and his descendants.

When we pray to El Shadday, we show respect the name, God Almighty as One for whom nothing is impossible with Him. God spoke to Abraham and said, "I am God Almighty; walk before Me and be blameless. I will confirm my covenant between Me and you and will greatly increase your numbers." (Genesis 17:1-2).

That statement impress me that God the Almighty, El Shadday and because I learn to know His name, He will love me. He will protect me. It is the same for you.

Have a good day!

Dorothy
Got some idea from Praying the Names of God by Ann Spangler.
PS. A friend who is a deaf Jew said that it should be El Shaddai. Thought you should be aware of it.

Far Off

Good morning! At four a.m. what a glorious song when Holy Spirit greets me with a "Great and mighty is the Lord our God!"

Great and mighty is the Lord our God!
Great and mighty is He!
Great and mighty is the Lord our God!
Great and mighty is He!
Lift up your banner, let the Christians sing,
Praises to our King . . .
Great and mighty is the Lord our God!
Great and mighty is He!
(Collection song, Author unknown)

Ephesians 2:13 KJV
Now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

To appreciate this KJV verse, I was reading from the New Living Translation Ephesians 2:11-13. "Don't forget that you Gentiles used to be outsiders by birth. You were called "the uncircumcised ones" by the Jews, who were proud of their circumcision, even though it affected only their bodies and not their hearts. V12 In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded (shut out) from God's people, Israel, and you did not know the promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope. V13 BUT NOW YOU BELONG TO CHRIST JESUS. THOUGH YOU ONCE WERE FAR AWAY FROM GOD, NOW YOU HAVE BEEN BROUGHT NEAR TO HIM BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD OF CHRIST."

Oh! This thrilled me to sing:
Great and mighty is the Lord our God!
Great and mighty is He!
Great and mighty is the Lord our God!
Great and mighty is He!
Lift up your banner, and let the Christians sing,
Praises to our King . . .
Great and mighty is the Lord our God!
Great and mighty is He!
(Author unknown)

Prayer for you! Oh Lord God of heaven! Have mercy on us who are going through severe attacks from Satan Himself last month of April! Please lift up Satan's fingers upon us and get him out of the way through the blood of Jesus, so You, Lord God could send many "relief blessings" upon us. We need room to breathe in our spirits and in our bodies since we felt Satan's hot breath on us last month of April. Now in the name Jesus Christ, Satan begone with your hot breathe! And now Holy Spirit, let it breathe on us, let it breathe on us. Let the Spirit of God now breathe on us in Jesus' name I pray. Amen!

May the Lord bless you and be lifted up today!
