Psalm
46:4 “There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God …” NIRV
“God’s blessing are like a river. They
fill the city of God with joy.”
Song: Blessed Quietness
(Manie Payne Ferguson, Sing His Praise)
Joys
are flowing like a river
Since
the Comforter has come,
He
abides with us forever,
Makes
the trusting heart His home.
Chorus:
Blessed
quietness, holy quietness,
What
assurance in my soul!
On
the stormy sea He speaks peace to me;
How
the billows cease to roll!
[ASL: Much wave stop brought
peace]
See,
a fruitful field is growing,
Blessed
fruit of righteousness;
And
the streams of life are flowing
In
the lonely wilderness.
Chorus:
Blessed
quietness, holy quietness,
What
assurance in my soul!
On
the stormy sea He speaks peace to me;
How
the billows cease to roll!
[ASL: Much waves stop
brought peace]
Note:
This inspiration came from Manna I had worked on 21-25 Jan. 2019 “Count It All
Joy” and somehow thought came to me, “Joy flows like a river.” So I searched
from a song book and now I remember singing this before, but it’s been a long
time. And oh, it was a heart touching
for me and I didn’t send this early in time because I got the song this
morning, “I Will Praise Him.”
It
was like Holy Spirit wasn’t going to wait for me so He went ahead put a song
on my lip at one o’clock in the morning of Jan. 26. And I’m putting this for Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019
ahead of time. I really love that enthusiasm
from the Holy Spirit! He is awesome!
May
God richly bless you,
Dorothy
