Quiet Morning!

Isaiah 30:15
...In quietness and in confidence shall be
your strength.

Tony:
Early in the morning things are quiet.
It is God's favorite time to listen to
His people's praise and worship. It will
make you feel good all day when you put
God first, in the quiet of the morning.
It also gives you strength when you have
confidence in Your Heavenly Father.

Song: In the Quiet of the Morning

In the quiet of the morning
I will worship Your name
I will lift my voice with singing
to praise you again.
For it filled my heart with gladness
that remain through the day.
In the quiet of the morning,
I will worship Your name.

Lose Courage?

Hebrews 10:35-36
"So do not lose courage you had in the past, which has
a great reward. You must hold on, so you can do what
God wants and receive what He has promised." ncv

Dorothy:
Our eyes only see things. We don't see spiritual things.
This song encourage me to stand in faith, things we see
are impossible, but with God all things are possible.
God will work things out. God ask us not to lose faith.
Keep your eyes on His promise. God does not lie. God
keeps His Word. So I believe, I believe God. Sing until
you sense the courage and His blessing on you in Jesus'
name. Amen!

Old collection song: I Believe

I believe the answer on the way.
I believe the Lord has heard me pray.
Cast not away your confidence,
says the Lord your God.
Now by faith in Him alone I stand.
Firmly held by His almighty hand.
Fully trusting in His promise.
Praise.. the.. Lord....!

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father through Jesus' name. Help me not
to lose courage when I don't see prayer answer. Help
me not to be disappoint in things that did not work
out as I had hope. The verse tells me not to lose
courage, not to lose my trust in You, not to lose my
faith in You. Holy Spirit, please remind me that great
reward comes from wait patiently for Your work in me.
I believe in miracles. I believe in healing. Help me
to feel Your presence. I am trusting You, Heavenly
Father in Jesus' name I pray, Amen!

All Things Are Possible

Good morning! The Lord is with you. Let us worship the Lord in the beauty of the Holy Spirit. Let us worship the Lord in Spirit and in truth, God’s Word.

Song Collection:

All things are possible when we believe.
All things are possible when we believe.
Faith moves the hand of God,
Faith in His living Word,
All things are possible when we believe.

Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, ‘With men this is impossible: but with God all things are possible.’ Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, ‘If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.’ Mark 10:27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, ‘With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.’

Dorothy: This statement “all things are possible” is something to think about. Did Jesus mean everything? What about when He went to the Garden of Gethsemane? Jesus was deeply distressed; His soul was in deep sorrow and He felt death coming on Him. He fell on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might speed up and get it over with [Mark 14:33-35]. Jesus said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from Me: nevertheless not what I want, but what You Father want” [Mark 14:36].

The “all things” does not mean everything we can think of. The prayer of faith is base on the will of God; it never asks for anything foolish or wrong [James 4:3]. As for Jesus He asked God to let this cup of suffering to pass from Him, but Jesus knew the important of God’s will, salvation of the world. So Jesus surrenders Himself to God’s plan and God gave His own Son, the strength to be able to drink the “cup of suffering.” God gave Jesus the mighty power to endure the unbearable. Jesus finished the work of the cross, the salvation of the world.

All the Christians of the world who suffered the torture of holding on to their faith in Jesus, had to believe that “all things are possible” for them to endure the impossible things. Are you going through what seems impossible? Then this is for you. If you have problems, ask God for wisdom because He is generous to give you His wisdom. To God all things are possible is when He gives us wisdom and strength to do what we need to do. Believe in God. Believe also in Jesus. God bless you today.

The Pickles

Psalm 51:7 KJV
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
wash me, and I shall be whither than snow.

PICKLES AND TAKING TIME TO TRANSFORM.

My Child,

It takes a long time to make a cucumber into
a pickle. You can’t just zap it in the microwave.
It takes boiling, spices, soaking, pressure, and,
most importantly, time. When it is done, you can
no longer call it a cucumber. It is now a pickle.

I am bringing you from darkness into light. I am
changing you from your old man into my new man.
Don’t expect a quick fix. The transformation
ingredients are already provided, but you have to
go through the transformation process. First, it
takes boiling you down until you are humble and
ready to receive. Then you soak in the presence
of my Holy Spirit and the seasoning of my Word.
It also takes some character-refining pressure
and tribulation. And none of this is accomplished
overnight.

You are saved in the blink of an eye, but you are
transformed over time. Be willing to give me the
time to carry out the process of your transformation.
I am changing you into who I want you to be
(and it’s so much more than a pickle!).

Your Transformer,
God

My Redeemer

Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the
meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight,
O LORD, my strength, and my Redeemer.

Song: Wonderful, wonderful, Jesus is to me,
Counselor, prince of peace, mighty God is He,
Saving me, keeping me from all sin and shame,
Wonderful is my Redeemer, praise His name.

1. Why is Jesus being wonderful to me? Because He
gave His life for me on the cross. He forgave my sins.

2. Jesus being a counselor, what does it mean to me?
He guides me. He gives me wisdom what to do when
I have problems.

3. What is the meaning of “prince of peace?” Jesus
calms my fears, calms my worries, calms my anxiety.

4. Mighty God is He. What has He done? I think of
God that rolled back the great Red Sea for the Israel
to cross over and escaped the enemies, and Pharaoh.

5. Saving me, keeping me from all sin and shame.
Wow, not only He saves me, but also keeps me from
falling into sins and reminds me that God does not
remember my sins anymore.

6. Wonderful is my Redeemer. What is Redeemer?
He bought me back with His blood from Satan. So
now I belong to Jesus.

7. Praise His name. His name is all powerful. His
name is above all names. His name is Jesus.

Count Your Blessings

I Thessalonians 1:2-4 NCV
We always thank God for all of you and mention you when we pray. We continually recall before God our Father the things you have done because of your faith and the work you have done because of your love. And we thank Him that you continue to be strong because of your hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. Brothers and sisters, God loves you, and we know He has chosen you.

Meaning of the words:
Recall=look back and remember.

Song: Count Your Blessings
1. When upon life's billows you are tempest-tossed,
when you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
[Chorus]

2. Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will be singing as the days go by.
[Chorus]

3. So, amid the conflict, whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey's end.

Chorus:
Count your blessings, Name them one by one;
Count your blessings, See what God hath done;
Count your blessings, Name them one by one;...
Count your many blessings, See what God hath done.

James, Son of Zebedee

Jerusalem, Israel, 44 AD

“James, John, come with me!” James and his brother, John, followed their mother, who knelt at Jesus’ feet. “Lord, will You do a favor for me?” She asked. “What would you like for Me to do?” Jesus asked. Their mother said, “Grant that one of my two sons may sit at Your right and the other at Your left in Your kingdom.”

“You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said. Then He turned to the two men. “Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?” “We can,” James and John answered together. Jesus said to them, “You will indeed drink from My cup.”

Several years later, King Herod Agrippa decided to stop the spread of Christianity by striking its leaders. He had James arrested and sentenced to death on the basis of one man’s testimony. However, when this accuser saw James’ extraordinary courage and steadfast joy, even when condemned to die, the man was deeply touched in his heart. There on the spot, the accuser made a decision for Christ. He boldly cried out, “I want to follow Jesus also. I am a Christian.”

The soldiers led James to be executed. Along the way, his accuser stopped the apostle and fell down at his feet. “I am so sorry for what I have done,” he cried. “The blood of an innocent man is on my hands. Please, please, before you die, please forgive me.” James paused for a moment, then said, “Peace be to you, brother,” and gave him a holy kiss.

Then the man said, “You should not receive the crown of martyrdom alone. I will die with you.” He was immediately sentenced to death and they were both brought to the place of execution. Minutes later, the two were beheaded together.

Just as Jesus had foretold, James, the son of Zebedee, was martyred, the first of twelve disciples to die for his faith. Raising His eyes, Jesus said….

“I spelled out Your character in detail
To the men and women You gave Me.
They were Yours in the first place;
Then You gave them to Me…
Everything is Mine is Yours, and Yours Mine,
And My life is on display in them.
For I’m no longer going to be visible in this world:
They’ll continue in the world while I return to You.
Holy Father, guard them as they pursue this life
That You conferred as a gift through Me,
So they can be one heart and mind
As We are one heart and mind.”

Oh, It is Jesus!

Matthew 19:26b
With God all things are possible.

Jesus quoted this, “With God all things are possible.”
Say it again, “With God all things are possible.” This
makes me think… God’s presence is with us. We need
that. So let us sing, “Oh, It is Jesus” until we could sense
or feel His presence. My body is tense and I need to feel
relax. I need to relax my muscle. I think of too many
things and I need to calm them down and do one thing
at a time. “With God all things are possible.”

Oh, it is Jesus, oh, it is Jesus,
Oh, it is Jesus in my soul.
For I have touched the hem of His garment
And His blood hath made me whole.

Think It Is Strange?

I reread the Fresh Manna on June 12, 2009. Have you ever thought that it might be strange for any of us Christians to have suffered in many different ways? So I decided to open the book of "Jesus Freaks" and found this story of John Jue Han Ding who shined brightly during the worst torture time. His story will make you sick and we will realize that our problems are nothing to compare with what he has gone through. John’s secret? God gave him mighty power to endure the unbearable.

Temporary, Light Affliction
John Jue Han Ding, During the Red Guard Era, 1966-69

John Jue Han Ding could feel the mighty power of God within him, strengthening him to endure the unbearable. They had tied his hands behind his back and then emptied a bucket of human waste on his head. They had left him like that for days, never giving him a chance to clean himself. He was given food, but with his hands tied behind his back, he had to lie on the floor and lick it up like an animal. The food had to pass through soiled lips. He still did not deny his faith and refused to admit to crimes he had not committed.

Then his torturers filled a cell with human waste and put him in it with a multitude of common criminals. Now they all waded and suffocated in it. The common criminals were told they would all be kept like this indefinitely unless they forced him to comply with the demands of the interrogators. To survive, these criminals now competed in torturing him day and night.

When he came to this point in his story, John stopped. His face started to glow, and he began to sing with a beautiful voice. Here are the words of his song:

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment,
it working for us a far more exceeding and eternal
weight of glory, while we do not look at things
which are seen, but at the things which are not
seen. For the things which are seen are temporary,
but the things which are not seen are eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:17,18 NKJV

The authorities eventually gave up and stopped trying to make John deny his faith. They then released him.

His True Love

Psalms 42:8a NCV
The Lord shows His true love every day.

Tony and I met for breakfast devotion and we discussed Psalm 42:8.

Dorothy: I am thinking. The Lord shows His love to us every day.

Tony: What a thought! God loves me! How often? Once a month?
Once a week?

Dorothy: Psalms says, “every day.” Think on this.

Tony: What a thought!

Dorothy: I hope you reader appreciate Tony share this.
Let us know through email: tonycallies@hotmail.com

I am reminded of a song called, “Isn’t the love of Jesus Wonderful.”
It is found in the book called, Sing His Praise.

Song:
Isn’t the love of Jesus something wonderful,
wonderful, (it is ) wonderful;
Oh, isn’t the love of Jesus something wonderful;
Wonderful it is to me.

Think It Not Strange

I Peter 4:12-14
KJV: 12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye, for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

Suffering As A Christian.

NCV: 12 My friends, do not be surprised at the terrible trouble which now comes to test you. Do not think that something strange is happening to you. 13 But be happy that you are sharing in Christ's sufferings so that you will be happy and full of joy when Christ comes again in glory. 14 When people insult you because you follow Christ, you are blessed, because the glorious Spirit, the Spirit of God, is with you.

Be Not Ashamed When You Suffered for Christ.
I Peter 4:15-19 NCV
Do not suffer for murder, theft, or any other crime, nor because you trouble other people. But if you suffer because you are a Christian, do not be ashamed. Praise God because you wear that name. It is time for judgment to begin with God's family. And if that judging begins with us, what will happen to those people who do not obey the Good News of God? It is very hard for a good person to be saved, the wicked person and the sinner will surely be lost! So those who suffer as God wants should trust their souls to the faithful Creator as they continue to do what is right.

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding us to endure as a good Soldiers for Jesus Christ our Lord. Thank You for reminding us that suffering is part of our Christian's growth so we are partakers of Christ's suffering. Thank You for reminding us that "longsuffering" is one of the nine fruits of the Spirit. Sometimes it is hard to endure so we ask You for grace and mercy through the power of Holy Spirit in Jesus' name. Amen.

I Have Suffered

I have suffered very much
So many things as such
As hurts to the very touch.

The elders have rejected Me.
The disciples could not see
That My suffering was meant to be.

The people thought I'd be a King
And the crown they did bring.
When I refused, their hearts sting.

My disciples were so confused
And understood not, why I refused.
Even a crown, I wasn't amused.

Then I tried to show a way
That great suffering has its pay.
The Holy Spirit will teach some day.

The servant is not above His Master
Neither are disciples, above his Savior.
Think you'll escape suffering? Don't ever.

Rejoice, when they gave you bad name.
To a world, it is a great shame.
Still, be happy 'cause you'll get fame.

Still You Love Him

1 Peter 1:6-9
KJV: 6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice; though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found into praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom HAVING NOT SEEN, YE LOVE; in whom, though now ye see him not; yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

NCV: This makes you very happy, even though now for a short time different kinds of troubles come to prove that your faith is pure. This purity of faith is worth more than gold, which can be proved to be pure by fire but will ruin. But the purity of your faith will bring you praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is shown to you. You have not seen Christ, but STILL YOU LOVE HIM. You cannot see Him now, but you believe in Him. So you are filled with a joy that cannot be explained, a joy full of glory. And you are receiving the goal of your faith the salvation of your souls.

HAVING NOT SEEN, YE LOVE…
The key to all this is our faith in Christ whom we have not seen physically except in many movies, we have watched Jesus in action that came from the stories in the New Testament Bible. We often sense His nearness and His love through power of Holy Spirit from time to time. We still love Jesus because of our faith in Him. We go through trouble times and our faith is compared to gold. Real gold will become ruin, but our faith will not. The reward of our faith will bring us praise, glory and honor when Jesus comes for us.

According to Jesus, there is a special blessing for those who “have not seen, and yet have believed” (John 20:29). Peter has been blessed with Christ for 3 years, yet Peter is telling us that we are more blessed when we have faith in God’s Word and when we have not seen Christ and still we love Him. This is the kind of joy that Holy Spirit helps us with our faith without seeing Christ physically like Peter had. So let us rejoice in knowing that some day our faith will finally become reality, “seeing Jesus” will be worth it all.

Song Collection: It Will Be Worth It All

It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life’s trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One glimpse of His dear face, all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race, Till we see Christ.

Everlasting Love

Guess What? I love you with an everlasting love.
I love you with an everlasting love.
My love is so big...
And My love is so deep...
And I love you with an everlasting love...

MY LOVE FOR YOU IS LIKE THE ROSES
WHEN I COME TO YOU DISCLOSES....

I GET SO THRILLED WHEN I HEAR YOU PRAYING...
I GET SO THRILLED WHEN I HEAR YOU SPEAKING...

MY HEART MELTED WHEN YOU SING WORDS OF PRAISE...
MY HEART WAS STIRRED WHEN YOUR VOICE RAISES...

TO UPLIFT ME HIGHER AND HIGHER...
AND YOUR SPIRIT SOARS WIDER AND WIDER...

I JUST LONG FOR YOU TO SEE MY FACE...
SOMEDAY WE WILL ALL EMBRACE...

I LOVE YOU... COME UNTO ME!
Jeremiah 31:3b "Yeah, I have loved thee with an everlasting love."

Secretary for Jesus, Dorothy Callies, Nov. 1983

Dorothy: Greetings in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior who loved us so much to express His feelings toward us through the message of poetry! God, the Father and Jesus loves praises! Do you know why? It brings the beauty of atmosphere of peace and sweetness and love. All of us Christians needs this atmosphere around us. The only way to create this atmosphere of love is to constantly remind us to keep in the spirit of forgiving one to another with an open heart of understanding that we need each other. Exhort one another daily. So let us encourage one another with God's Word. Let His Word dwell in your heart daily as you allow the Holy Spirit to come to you in Jesus name, I pray. Amen! God loves you and so do I!

Oh My Heart Ache

OH, MY HEART ACHE
When you get too busy.
Don’t you ever think of Me?
Don’t you ever miss Me?

OH, MY HEART ACHE
When I try to get your attention.
When I try to show you My creation.
When you get uptight and full of tension.

OH, MY HEART ACHE
When I see too many activities
In your church that makes you forget Me
And precious hours had gone by thee.

OH, MY HEART ACHE
Because I am so very very lonely.
You asked, “But we love you in publicly.”
I answered, “I am only found in life quietly.”

OH, MY HEART ACHE
I can only get comfort from the deep fellowship
With you if you don’t let the time slip
Away from us and kiss Me on My lip.

God Love Jacob

Malachi 1:2
"I have loved you, saith the Lord, yet ye say,
wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's
brother? saith the Lord: yet I loved Jacob."

I HAVE LOVED YOU
Malachi prophesied about one hundred years after
the first exiles had returned from Babylon to their
homeland. Although the people had started to respond
to their restoration with a zeal for God, but as the
years went by, their commitment to God started to go
down slowly and lost interest in God. About 430 B.C.
Malachi reminded the people with their lack of trust
in God, their insincere worship, and their refusal to
obey God's law. The people were doubting that God
really loved them. Israel experienced trouble,
and they accused God of being unfaithful to His
covenant promises. The Lord insisted that He had
cared for them over the years in a special way. In
reality, it was Israel who had failed to love and
honor God by their disobedience to His Law
(Malachi 1:6-8).

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive us when we hurt You
and when we sometimes became indifference toward You.
We do love You and help us to stay true to You and keep
on trusting You. We believe You still keep Your Covenant
with us. Help us to fight against Satan who tried to destroy
our faith in You. We believe You. We love You.
In Jesus' name. Amen. May the Lord bless you.

God Love Israel

Hosea 11:1
When Israel was a child, then I loved him,
and called my son out of Egypt.

Poem: I Love You

I love you with all My heart.
I love you even when you grow apart.

I love you when you are hurting.
I love you when your heart is breaking.

I love you from the depth of My feeling.
I love you enough to bring my healing.

I love you enough to lay down My life.
I love you inspite of your strife.

I love you, hoping you return to Me.
I love you, oh, how I love thee.

I love you, oh, so very, very much.
I love you with the love of My touch.

Seek Me

Proverbs 8:17b
Those that seek Me early shall find Me…

Poem: I Seek
Seek Me early. Seek Me late.
Seek Me when you enter the gate.

I seek to lift your heavy loads.
I seek to guide your life’s roads.

Seek Me in the midst of trouble.
Seek Me first before you stumbles.

I seek to give you My love.
I seek to reach you from above.

Seek Me, first, oh please, My dear.
Seek Me and I will be very near.

I seek to hold you so close.
I look at you like I see a rose.

I seek to say, I love you.
I pray you seek and tell Me, too.

Trust in Me in all you do.
Trust Me because I want you to.

Thou Art Mine!

Isaiah 43:1b
God said, KJV: “I have called thee by name; thou art mine.” Amplified: “I have called you by your name, you are Mine.” Next verse 4 “… you are precious in My sight and honored, and because I love you…”

Dorothy: Tony what does this verses mean to you?
Tony: Wow! Me being honored in God’s sight! That hit me! Lord, what makes You honor me? What did I do to earn Your honor? Let’s read Isaiah 43:10 part that the Lord declares, “… and My servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He…” NIV.

Isaiah 43:1 began with “Thus saith the Lord.” From verse 1-7, God expresses His love for Israel and the benefits of His love. All the blessings mentioned here apply even more to those who are children of God through faith in Christ. God has created and redeemed us, we belong to Him, and He knows each one of us by name. My dear friends, God has called you by name. This is a personal attention from God to you. It is like God said, “Jane, you are Mine! You are precious in My sight.” “Joe, you are Mine! You are very precious in My sight.”

Jesus’ Song: I Love You
I loved you with an everlasting love…
I loved you with an everlasting love…
My love is so big and my love is so deep
And I love you with an everlasting love….

Jeremiah 31:3 “The Lord hath appeared of old unto me saying,
“Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love…”
