The Hidden Gospel 8/8-14/20

08-14 August 2020 – The Hidden Gospel - Fresh Manna by Dorothy/Tony Callies
2 Corinthians 4:3-4 “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost; in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them” (KJV).

Satan is called, “the god of this world.”  What does that means? It means Satan has power, but only God has greater power than Satan.  Satan has knowledge, but only God has greater knowledge than Satan. Satan wants to be worshiped, but Jesus reminded Satan, only God is to be worshiped.
Satan tried to close up the gospel:
            (1) Satan has power to hide (hinder) the gospel from “those who are perishing” (v.3). It is important to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others who never heard the gospel.
            (2) Satan has power to blind the minds of “those who do not believe.” But “the light of the gospel the glory of Christ” has the power to lighten up their minds and set them free from spiritual darkness and eternal hell. Remember this quote, “God in you is greater he, Satan that is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
            (3) Satan has the power to steal the Word of God from the hearts of those who hear, but do not understand the gospel (Matt. 13:19). So it is important to take the time to make very clear the Good News of salvation to people in the natural who do not have spiritual insight. [Commentary Outlines lesson from the Christian Life Bible]
For example: Jack Chick’s Publication Tract, “This was Your Life” has opened the mind of many who got saved from reading it.  It is a good way to use tracts from “Chick” which has won millions of people around the world to the Lord.  Tracts are very simple and very clear to many who read it.  You can Google on Chick Publication.
The tract “This was your life” shows the man who died was taken up with an angel to be judged before God, His throne. His life was opened to why he didn’t invite Jesus Christ in his heart. The man answered that he didn’t know. But his life time shows that someone did testified to him to invite Christ, he simply ignore it.
How did God felt about that?  Angry!  Proof? John 3:36 “… he that believe not shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.” John 3:16 God offered His Son to this man to accept Jesus Christ.  To reject this gift of invitation, anger God.
Revelation 3:20 stated that Jesus knocked on your heart’s door … So the question is:  Will you open your heart’s door and let Him come in?
Here’s a simple prayer: Lord Jesus, I open my heart to you and confess my sins and please forgive me. I invite you to be my Lord and Savior. Thank you for Calvary that you died and shed your blood for my sins. You rose from the grave for my righteousness, now I look forward to be with you in heaven. Thank you for redeemed my soul from Satan. Help me to read God’s Word to get to know you more. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
Find someone who are born-again Christian to mentor you, to help you grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.  You are now a babe in Christ.  It is important to continue to grow in the Bible-based faith in Christ.
Share your faith in Christ to someone.   This help your faith to grow in Christ.  Ask the Holy Spirit to help you.  Jesus said, “… joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repent …” (Luke 15:7).  Wow! That sounds like a party up there over one soul that accept Christ!  Don’t you love this?  God is joyful when you invite Jesus into your heart!

May God bless you today!
