Partners with Christ 5/11-15/20

11-15 May 2020 - Partners with Christ – Manna: Grace through Suffering revised from 2/26/2013 By Dorothy and Tony Callies.

1 Peter4:13a "... these trials will make you partners with Christ in His suffering ..."
Key: It is through trials that makes us partners with Christ’s sufferings.
What does that mean? When you suffered, you are partners with Christ because He, too, had suffered horribly experienced of being whipped 39 times with metal on edges that ripped his skin and Jesus lost so much blood. He was forced to carry His own cross and fell a few times until one man helped him carried the cross with Jesus. And also being nailed to the cross with both His hands and His feet. I cannot imagine such terrible pain and agony that our Christ had felt for six hours on the cross.

Are you going through some kind of suffering and wondered why does God allowed suffering that we are going through?  Think of our Lord Jesus Christ what He went through for you and for me. That makes you partners with Jesus. You get little taste of Christ’s suffering.

Jesus promised you a wonderful joy when you get to share His glory and everyone will see the glory, the glow in your face and in your lives. And the whole world see this and be amazed. There’s a song that says: “It will be worth it all when we see Jesus. Life’s trials will seem so small when we see Christ. One glimpse of His dear face, all sorrow will erase. So bravely run the race until we see Christ. The words are written by Esther Kerr Rusthoi.

What does this means to me? I just never thought that when you suffered, you are actually partners with Christ.  Me, a partner with Christ? Holy Spirit opened up the Scripture to help me see the value of “Grace through suffering” means you are partners with Christ. What an honor! A partner with Christ?  Thank You Holy Spirit for showing us today.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for such a wonderful wisdom that You have given us to see Your Word of truth that we are partners with Christ’s suffering.  It is truly beyond our understanding, yet we trust You for working inside our inner spirit to be like Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amazing grace! Thank You and we love You so much! In Jesus’ name. Amen.

May the Lord truly bless you today,
Dorothy
