Matthew
9:12 “Those who are well have no need of a doctor, but those who are sick do
need help.” (My translation of KJV)
Why
Jesus did quoted this? The religious leaders criticized Jesus for being among
the people who were sinners, publicans, prostitutes, tax collectors and the
poor. The religious leaders considered
them “unrighteous” people to fellowship with. So Jesus was saying to them, “You
are well and you don’t need Me, but these people do need Me to help them.”
Please
note that I used short statements from KJV verses: Hearing a sermon from one
preacher emphasized that “Jesus healed them ALL.” That got me to do a research
on “healed them all.” Matthew 8:16
Evening came and many came to Jesus that were possessed with devils and He cast
out spirits with His Word and healed all that were sick.
Matthew 10:1 Jesus called the twelve
disciples, gave them power against unclean spirits to cast out and heal all
sickness and disease. Matthew 12:15 Many people followed Jesus
and He healed them all. Luke 4:40 All
who were sick, came to Jesus, and He laid His hands on every one of them, and
healed them.
Luke 6:17-19 Many came to hear Him and
to be healed of the diseases and many people touch Him, and He healed them all.
Luke 6:19 His power, the virtue went out
of Him and heal them all.
Jesus,
the great Physician wants to meet each of us at our point of need, offering forgiveness,
healing and hope. What we don’t deserve,
He freely gives. Jesus offers His extending grace. Here extending grace means
to stretch out or to make larger. There is always room for more grace for you.
It is like reach out across a distance or like a bridge extends across the
river. Jesus extends His grace to those
who are sick.
So
let us “Reach out and touch the Lord as He walks by. You’ll find He’s not too
busy to hear your hearts’ cry. He is passing by this moment, your needs to
supply. Reach out and touch the Lord as He walks by.” This is from Inspiring song.
Prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, I pray that You would heal those who really need You at this
moment. Hear their cry, hear their agony and set them free in Jesus’ name I
pray. Amen.
My
friend, reach out to Him when you are hurting,
Dorothy
PS.
This manna was revised from Feb. 20, 2013 from Blog: Fresh Manna from Heaven.
What
this means to me? I was impressed that Jesus shows no favors on who He would
heal. He did not heal some … He healed them ALL. So I put my hope in Jesus’
word that He healed us all. Faith is believing and trusting His Word. God bless
you!
