Hebrews
13:9a “. . . it is good that the heart be established by grace . . .”
I
was going through old Manna from Jan.-Feb. 2013 on the subjects of various “grace.”
I was amazed how many of them I had written. Here’s example what I came up with
so far and the rest of them, I haven’t check it out. I use a small journal (5”x
7”) to summarize each Manna on grace as a reminder.
His
amazing grace; With that grace; Established by grace; Find grace; Grace abound;
More grace in song; Steward of grace; Grace through suffering; Grow in grace;
Grace so free; and Its grace is SO free in song. This is what I came up so far.
The
next ones I’m planning to check out are: Extending grace; Grace, a free gift;
Through His grace; God’s valentine, grace; Grace is sufficient; The Jews were
amazed; How rich is God’s grace; His grace, He held on; His grace was true;
Continue in grace of God; Grace and truth; and Words of grace in song.
What impressed me the most
is Hebrews 13:9a “. . . it is good that the heart be established by grace . . .” My summary devotion was “to
be established by grace means Jesus paid the price for me;” “To be established
in Christ and His work of Calvary;” “To make it permanent in Christ forever’”
and “Gain full claim in Christ.”
When
news spread around a warning against corona-virus many things began to happen
that really shook the whole world. Its
shaking time like this makes us search our hearts. Many became feared, worried,
despaired, frustrations, depressed, anger, perplexed, confused and such … but what was it in their hearts? It exposed
their reaction of their worst feared. Many
died so quickly so unexpectedly from deadly corona-virus.
As for those who loved
God, what was in their hearts? Their hearts were already “established by grace”
that they just simply trust God to live on or to die quickly. The heart is a center
of all emotions. It revealed who we
really are. This reminds me of a verse
that everything is open to Him.
Hebrews
4:13 NLT “Nothing in all creation can hide from Him. Everything is naked and exposed before His
eyes. This is the God to whom we must
explain all that we have done.” Reason is this: Heb. 4:12 NTL “For the word of
God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting
deep into our innermost thoughts and desires.
It exposes us for what we really are.”
This
is why I like to be reminded: “. . . it is good that the heart be established
by grace . . .” Because Jesus already paid the price for us at Calvary so we
have nothing to fear, but to trust in His Word, the full of living power. In
Jesus’ name we pray, Amen! And Amen!
Oh,
may God bless you real good!
Dorothy
