Daniel
9:21 “While I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel . . . reached me.”
Poem: Oh, How Daniel
Prayed
Oh,
how Daniel prayed,
Morning, noon, and night.
Oh,
Daniel prayed, oh how he prayed.
Daniel
prayed with all his might.
Daniel
saw a great vision
And it troubled him,
Daniel
prayed for understanding,
God sent an angel to clear his dim.
Angel
name was Gabriel
Helping Daniel out,
Seeing
all those visions,
And what
was all about.
Daniel
asked God for an answer
About the here and now,
But
God has a great plan,
Simply trust, not thinking ‘how.’
Daniel’s
visions’ so overwhelming,
Was really God’s answers had to do
With
events thousands of years to come,
Into the future, we’ll know them soon.
So
let us pray like Daniel prayed,
So inspired by God’s great future.
Let
us prepared our hearts to hear
His Word of comfort and secure.

Note:
I was inspired when I read “Our Daily Bread” devotion about Daniel. Daniel poured out his heart to God when he
had read Jeremiah’s scroll and rediscovered God’s promise that Israel’s
captivity in Babylon would last 70 years.
So Daniel prayed earnestly that God would rescue His people and send
them back home to Jerusalem.
And
then comes visions of future plans, God had a big picture of what is to come. For
us, it means that God had already plan to answer prayers, and it is His timing
. . . and for us to trust Him! Just a
word of encouragement to keep trusting God.
