Zechariah: By My Spirit

“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,”
says the Lord of Host. Zechariah 4:6 NKJV

Zechariah, the prophet spoke to Zerubbabel, the
governor of Jerusalem, that God’s Spirit will move
in him to help with the building of God’s Temple.
It was a personal message to Zerubbabel to take
courage that God will give him the strength to do
the work God had asked him to do. Because of
God’s message and His strength, Zerubbabel
was able to motivate the people to help finish
up God’s Temple.

Do you ever felt impressed that God wants you to
do something for Him? Something that is very
important to Him? Do you often feel helpless
and wonder how can we do this or that? Hear
the words of Zechariah, the prophet, “Not by
might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the
Lord of Host.”

It is not by our own strength. It is not by our
own ability that we can do this alone, but God’s
Spirit moves in us and He alone gives us strength
to do what He asked us to do. May the Lord bless
you as you obey Him.
