" . . . in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" 1 Thess. 5:18, NKJV.
In
1 Thessalonians 5, Paul urges the followers of Christ to rejoice
always, pray continually and give thanks for this is the will of God in
Christ Jesus. The heart of love our Father has for His children is far
greater than we could really understand.. It delights Him to see us
blessed, happy and healthy. Rejoicing, praying and thanksgiving really
bring glory to God.
So God bless you on this Thanksgiving holiday!

Let There Be Light!
Genesis 1:3 "God said, Let there be light . . ."
The earth was empty, a formless mass cloaked in darkness (Gen. 1:2a QVLAB). Let us be reminded that the earth was once empty and in darkness. We felt darkness sometimes and why are we going through the dark times even though we are a child of the King? Reading Psalm chapter 104, David wrote about God's creation. David wanted to remember and praise God for His marvelous creation.
What was the first thing that God had done when the earth was full of darkness? On day one, God created light. And who did God send to do the work when He spoke? Genesis 1:2a tells us that "the Spirit was hovering over its surface." It was the Holy Spirit that moved upon the face of the waters. The Holy Spirit brought God's word "and there was light upon the earth.
Are you going through dark times? God wants us to remember. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light (KJV).
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, last month of October was a dark month. Reading the Scripture, You remind us that the earth was once in darkness and that You spoke the word and there was light. Let Your Word lighten up our lives! And healing flows into our bodies! And thank You for marvelous light and healing in Jesus' name we pray. Amen!
So let us speak the word and quote "God said, Let there be light."

Abba Father
Song for Today: Oh God
Oh God, awesome in power,
Oh God, tender in love.
Oh God, You are my God, And I love You.
Oh God, full of compassion,
Oh God, faithful and true.
Oh God, You are my God, And I love You.
(Song collection, Author unknown)
I just remember Dean Hardy's favorite closing, "Abba, our Father".
So I add this song in ASL since author is unknown.
Oh Abba, awesome in wonders,
Oh Abba, tender in heart.
Oh Abba, You are my Daddy, And I love You.
Oh Abba, full of heart-felt,
Oh Abba, so faithful and honest.
Oh Abba, You are my Daddy, And I love You! . . . .
Verse for Today: Psalm 104:1 Amplified Bible
"Bless (AFFECTIONATELY, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, You are very great! You are clothed with honor and majesty --"
Ps. 104:33-34 AMP "I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. 34. May my mediation be sweet to Him; as for me, I will rejoice in the Lord."
God is the creator of the earth. He is our Abba, our Daddy, who holds us into His arms of love. Just like He created a "mom who holds a sweet baby in her arms." This is how God thinks of you at this moment of caressing you, a tender and loving touch, and a hug. Feel His hands of a light stroking, rubbing or patting on your head to ease your pains, to ease your suffering, and to ease your anguish cry.
Prayer: O Lord God, lift our spirit to continue to trust Your Word of healing and thank You by faith that You have met our needs. We put our faith and trust in You. we believed and we received. In Jesus' name. Amen!
May the anointing of Holy Spirit flows into you today!
