I would like to share with you the devotion of Dean Hardy of Canada instead of having Bread Box 7/30/10. I read them several times since he send this few days ago on July 26th.

I was reading in the book of Isaiah yesterday morning & the LORD gave me some encouraging Word for all who are His servants in His kingdom work ... I would like to share these with you, so you can be encouraged in your work for the Master ...
"... The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary & His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary & increases the power of the weak ... Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run & not grow weary, they will walk & not be faint." Isaiah 40:28b-29, 31 NIV
The LORD says to us, "... You are My servant; I have chosen you & have not rejected you. So do nto fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strenthen you & help you; I will uphold you with My righteous hand."
Isaiah 41:9b-10 NIV
He also says to us ... "Here is My servant, whom I uphold, My chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him & he will bring justice to the nations. He will not shout or cry out or raise his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not break & a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice; he will not falter or be discouraged till he estalishes justice on earth ..." Isaiah 42:1-4a NIV
Even tho' this last one is primarily a Messianic passage that applies to Jesus, as He said to us ... "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in Me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask Me for anything in My name & I will do it." John 14:12-14 NIV

From Zion, God's Beauty
Psalm 50:2
NIV: From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.
NCV: God shines from Jerusalem, whose beauty is perfect.
NKJV: Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,
God will shine forth. (Reading from Psalm 50)
Somehow the word 'beauty' got me to do a research.
And to share with you what this means to me.
Out of Zion which is Jerusalem, God reveals Himself.
"But to the wicked God says: "What right have you to
declares My statues or take My covenant in your mouth,
seeing you hate instruction and cast My words behind
you?"" Psalm 50:16-17 (NKJV).
I am thinking of a group in USA who is fighting to
"remove God" out of USA. I often wonder if God has
anything to say. I found this part that explains the
kind of people who tried to bring God down. And God
does have words about those people.
Prayer: Lord God have mercy upon people and open
their eyes to know who You are. Open their eyes to
understand judgment comes to them who cast Your
Word behind them. In Jesus' name we pray.
Trust God today!

Beautify the meek 2
"He will beautify the meek with salvation."
Psalm 149:4b Bread Box 7/28/10
When we compare ourselves what we were like
before we accepted Christ and how God has made
us new creatures. Then we understand the beauty
of Christ inside of us makes the different. It
is just a reminder that you don't forget what
you have now.
What else does God wants to beautify us much more?
I watched the teaching of one famous preacher on TV.
He said to the young people, "Many of you went into
drugs because you want to get out of your "flesh"
and you want to "feel high." The preacher said,
"Well, the baptism of Holy Spirit is so much better
than the drugs. Why? Because you would feel like you
are in heaven and you would feel God's Presence all
over you. That's the baptism of Holy Spirit."
That's a beauty!
Having the nine fruits of the Spirit does beautify us
because it is the work of the Holy Spirit. God's love
inside of us beautify our lives ...
So let's trust God today!

Beautify the meek

The word beautify means to make more beautiful
or become beautiful like "Flowers beautify a
garden."
So how does God beautify our meekness with
salvation? Translations are helpful.
Psalm 149:4b
"He adorns the humble with victory"--RSV.
"He adorns the lowly with victory"--NAB.
"... conferring victory on us who are weak"--Jerus.
God decorates His people with victory with praises
of God in their mouth and sword in their hand (v.6)
to fight against the devil.
This is God's vision for us to be a victorious
people and a sword in our hand is the Word of God
who is our strength and healing power through our
bodies in Jesus' name.
So trust God today!

Fellowcitizens
"Now therefore ye are no more strangers and
foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints,
and of the household of God. Ephesians 2:19

Do you ever felt like a "stranger" on this earth
sometimes? The good news is "Now you who are not
Jewish are not foreigners or strangers any longer,
but citizens together with God's holy people. You
belong to God's family" Eph. 2:19 (ncv).
The word "saints" means a people set apart to God.
The word "fellowcitizens" means a people being built
into a new nation under God. Abraham, the founder of
faith looked for a city whose builder and maker is
God (Heb.11:9-10).
Glorious news: Jesus Christ has brought us to God.
We are now fellowcitizens with all of God's people.
We now have a home and all the rights of citizenship
in God's kingdom. What a future we have in Christ!

You Are Forgiven
Jesus said to paralyzed man, “Take heart, son;
your sins are forgiven” (niv). Matthew 9:2b
NVC says: “Be encouraged, young man. Your
sins are forgiven.” Matthew 9:2b

The research, “forgive” led me to check several
references. “Some people brought to Jesus a man
who was paralyzed and lying on a mat. When Jesus
saw the faith of these people …” (ncv), I stop
here. Faith of these people … Jesus saw their
faith for their friend to be healed. I believe
that you had been praying when there was no
Bread Box for few days. It felt like “Jesus saw
your faith” when you prayed for me. So I thank
you friends. Also this applies to others who have
faith to pray for their friend to be healed. Let
the Word of God encourages all of us.
My testimony: For several days, the word “forgive”
has become my research. It seems like the Holy
Spirit was trying to show me something. July 22
Bread Box was about “Forgive Yourself” came to
me as a surprise. And how God does not remember
our sins once covered with the blood of Jesus.
It was just an awesome feeling when the scripture
was quoted; the things that haunted me disappeared.
I believe someone was going through this and God
want you to know this.
So trust God today. He loves you!

Forgive Yourself?
“And he arose, and came to his father …

Do you ever felt like you haven’t forgiven
yourself because you had all the memories
that came back to you and haunted you of
your past mistakes or past sins?
The Prodigal Son felt that very much enough
to say, ‘Oh, I am not worthy, but I am going
to my Father.’ He made a decision to see his
father. To his surprise, his father ran to
him, the father’s heart went out to him
because his heart was moved and touched.
The father hugged and kissed his cheeks.
Jesus gave this story for us to understand
the nature of our loving Heavenly Father
would “run” to us and wash us with the blood
of Jesus to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Our Heavenly Father’s heart is moved and touched
when we come to Him and He wants to hug us today.
He said from Isaiah 43:25 “I, I am the One who
forgives all your sins, for My sake; I will not
remember your sins” (ncv).
Can you trust your Heavenly Father who does not
remember your past mistakes or sins?
So trust God today!
